I'm not at level 42 yet, I just got to level 36. Now Elder Dragons have started attacking, and they're very difficult for me. I might try Call Dragon, or run into a building and then come back out.I ran a Khajiit, he ended up at level 42, I think, in full legendary daedric armor with basic enchantments, I didn't even have to do any major enchantments, he could kill anything in the game with a couple of hits.
There are some enchantments that make one-hit kills of anything guaranteed and where's the fun in that? I eventually stopped playing because I beat all of the quests, with the exception of four that were terminally glitched. I really had no interest in going through and maxing all of the skills because... what's the point? I'm already a badass with nothing left to do, what do I need to be at 100% on all the skills?
Yeah, we got Fallout3 a while back, and I've played it some. I like it a lot, but I go back to the old "Mad Max" movies too.
Fallout3 is great, but Fallout: New Vegas is awesome!
As for Skyrim, I purchased it when it was released, but I can't get past the character creation because of a mouse-bug, and my machine is out of spec so Bethesda won't even talk to me about it.
Oops actually I meant Fallout New Vegas.

The enemies that are hard for me at this point are Elder and Frost Dragons, Draugr Death Overlords, skilled mages, high-level Orcish warriors and bandits, and not much else. Giants aren't a real challenge at this point.
There are technically infinite quests if you go to the innkeeper or the Jarl's palace and get a mission to kill bandits, giants, or dragons. I suppose even that could get boring, the same thing happened with me and Arkham City.
dragon age 2 was awefull, the first one was awesome, baldurs gate one and 2 were awesome, but dragon age 2 was biowares absolute joke of a game.
I actually downloaded Daggerfall on your recommendation and can get it running through DOSBox but it's a pain to have to remount everything every time you want to play. But Morrowind....with the two addons....unbelievable. The only thing I'd change in that game is to scale back on the damned cliff racers.
morrowind was a good game, but i wouldnt call it the epitome, its crashy nature and complicated gameplay horribly hurt its standing.it would be awesome if morrowing was redone with a better combat and interaction system.
Check out gog.com
Their version of it uses DOSBox too, but it's optimized so you don't have to remount every time you want to play.
Odd, I could have sworn that's where I got my copy of it from, though it isn't on my shelf there and isn't in their catalog either At least they do have pretty much everything else, and a great community tooGood idea but didn't see it on there.
Had so much more fun with DA2 than I had with Skyrim. Sold Skyrim without a second thought, would never sell DA2.
I enjoyed DA2's cinematic tone, and I also appreciated the fact that the game's climax involved a moral choice that wasn't a complete copout.
However, i'd definitely consider Skyrim to be the superior game overall. It's much more impressive from a technical standpoint, and there's simply a lot more to do.
If Bethesda would get its head out of its ass concerning boss battles, it would be an almost ideal game.
Gameplay let it down, but the world and storyline was amazing, far better than any of the subsequent games.
Are you kidding? It's amazing! One of my favorite games of all time.

I've totally fallen into Gamer Geek Zone.... me and my son had a long conversation over dinner about Skyrim, including arguments about whether Smithing was worth bothering with, and which was better Destruction or Conjuration...
Oh, the geekiness...

Smithing is definitely worth it. Dragonscale armor and dragon bone bows......can't beat it. The other is Enchanting. Dual enchantments rock.
Lockpicking and stealth are a waste. I don't know about any of the magic ones because I don't use much magic at all.
dude.... lockpicking and stealth are a waste?
UR not doing it right.
I haven't found much reason to put points into the skills. Pretty much any lock can be picked from the beginning and stealth just levels through use.
