I already have several iOS devices, but I recently picked up my first Android device, a Google Nexus 7, because it seems to be the best in the class of mini tablets. (Apple really should have put a retina display on the iPad Mini. ) One of the first things I did was go to Google Play to see their game offerings. I had heard that the selection was poor, and sure enough it was much worse than the Apple App Store, but I did see a lot of familiar titles on there, so it's not a barren wasteland.. What I didn't see was anything that looked good that I didn't already own. I have over 600 premium iOS apps and follow what's released on the app store regularly, so it doesn't surprise me that I can't find anything new that is available on both platforms.

Anyway, I am looking for good games that aren't available on iOS.

I am looking for:

Platformers
Point-and-click style adventures
RPGs
Word games
Trivia/Party games

Also, I need to know what the best "office suite" (word processing, spreadsheets, etc.) is on Android. And if you have any suggestions as to widgets, that would be great, too.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I have an Asus TF300T tablet with the same Tegra 3 processor as the Nexus 7. I don't play games on it, but I know it's great for gaming. You should check out games optimized for the Tegra 3. This website is a start: NVIDIA unveils five new Tegra 3 optimized games at E3 - SlashGear

A good office suite for Android is Kingsoft. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cn.wps.moffice_eng&hl=en

Apologies for not replying sooner.

I checked out the Tegra-zone app that was mentioned in your link. It's great. Lots of good games listed on it that I know will work well on my device.

I installed Kingsoft and one non-free one that was on sale last week and am still comparing them. Not sure which I like better. Kingsoft is pretty darn good for not costing a cent.

Thank you for the help! :)
