Anyone else here stoked about Resident Evil 6? It's coming out 11/20/12.

I certainly am. Even though I still prefer the old ones.

There're so many different games it's almost unbelievable. Personally Resident Evil 4 with its overall creepiness is the winner imho.

The J'avo of RE6 look very promising with their "chrysalis/mutation" capabilities.

The first one all the way for me. I loved the 4th one though. I remember at the time it came out I was absolutely blown away by that game. Everything about it was great. Although I still wish they would have called it something other then resident evil.

The name is a bit off and they should have stuck with "Biohazard." The only one I've ever played was, well, none. Too scary! It's fun watching YouTube playthroughs and Boss fights, though.

Is that game graphics?

YES. The graphics in this game are far and away better than those before. The B.O.W.s are incredibly scary this time around.

Hey, here's a vid of one of RE6's scarier fights:

Try the first ones expecially the remakes for gamecube. If you can get over the clunky controls its an amazingly scary game. I never play it alone.

Im fine with the name resident evil for the older ones but 4 and 5 just seemed like entirely different games so I wish they were an entirely different series.

I watched that video and I am amazed at the graphics and I absolutely cannot wait until it comes out. I gotta finish Borderlands 2 first though.

I agree, 4 was the best. The old games really did have awful control schemes, even 4 was bad, it took a while to get used to, it just wasn't intuitive. It's kind of like remembering Tomb Raider. The games were iconic, but most people block out the horrible, horrible control schemes that made the games almost unplayable.

Ive played the first one a couple of months ago. It is a terrible control scheme but it makes the game much scarier which is what I liked about it.

RE4 stands out above the rest due to sheer creep factor and interesting story/characters. Osmund Saddler, for instance...

...is a truly creepy yet interesting character.

RE5 was less interesting, save for Albert Wesker's character/demise. Parasite-infested crocodiles are damned scary, too.

I wouldn't call that scarier, I'd call it frustrating.

Frustrating yes. But the camera angles do make it scarier in my opinion. I dont play the first ones by myself because im too scared too but I have never been scared by the newer ones.

I don't know, I never get scared by games at all. It kind of reminds me of the time I was playing Doom 3 and I was thinking wow, it's really dark and creepy and you can never see the monsters until they're really close (meaning you die a lot). No, it wasn't really like that, my monitor was dying. Once I replaced it and everything was brighter like it should have been, it really wasn't that creepy.

Anybody buy the new one yet?

Haven't bought it, but watching the cutscenes/playthroughs on YouTube... it's a seriously epic game.

Not gonna spoil it. Just, the storylines and boss fights are stunning.

Yeah I havent bought it yet either. Still working on Borderlands 2 lol. Do you just play as one main character or are there multiple characters?

Actually, there's 4 seperate storylines complete with their own cutscenes. Iirc, the first three you play with an AI partner and the last is solo. The first three storylines is thus:

Storyline #1: Leon and Helena
Storyline #2: Chris and Piers
Storyline #3: Jake and Sherri
Storyline #4: Ada Wong

The main final boss is far, FAR stronger than Albert Wesker and Osmund Saddler combined, imo.

Sherri like from Resident Evil 2?
