For the past year and a half, I've had a Samsung Nexus S. I loved the phone and being pure Android (no overlay) was a huge plus. However, being a single core processor (1 gig) has started to show it's limitations. Sure, I got the Ice Cream Sandwich update as soon as Google released it, but the single core just couldn't handle the new OS and the increased drag new apps require. So I just updated my phone to the new Galaxy S3 (aka the iPhone killer) and this thing is amazing. It sports a 1.4 gig quad-core processor and 16 gigs of internal memory. This phone also supports an SD card (up to 64 GB) whereas the Nexus S did not.

So far, I'm completely impressed with this phone. I had to work today so I didn't have a lot of time to play with it, but it is very fast and I now have 4G LTE speed!

Congrats on a great phone. I got the Galaxy Nexus, which the S3 is based on.. and yes they are brilliant phones.

I almost bought the Galaxy Nexus because it is the best of the Nexus S and the Galaxy S2, but then I heard about the S3 coming out soon so I held off. I read a review of the two phones side-by-side and the S3 came out slightly ahead in nearly every category. The selling point for me was the S3 was a quad-core and the Galaxy Nexus was a dual-core. The S3 has an overlay, but it more than makes up for overcoming that with it's speed.

I bought it a couple of days after it came out, I'm very impressed:) What most impresses me is the responsiveness of the Phone, always slick and as yet no glitches or freezes as I started to get with my S1.

Well I needed a new phone and could not wait. I had the choice between the S2 and Nexus and the Nexus screen was what made up my mind. Also add in the pure Android experience and it was a no brainer. Now the drawback with the Nexus is no SD slot.. which the S3 has.. and for some odd reason.. no radio. Else it is a brilliant phone... the screen beats the pants off all others including the iPhone.
