I quit WoW

WOW is pointless, there's no point to all the grinding. What's the point?

What's the point of any game. What's the point of any entertainment. It seems like your issue is MMO's or RPG's which typically provide a sense of increasing strength in the game. If they just gave you all the levels and equipment off the bat then there would be no sense of accomplishment.

When a 'regular' player grinds, be it dailies or fishing (especially fishing) or gathering, being in the game is just the excuse to be online. What you're real purpose is, is to sit around and talk with your online friends through voice chat, about anything or nothing. WoW itself could just as easily be Solitaire were you on the phone instead of Ventrilo_Otherwise, there is no point to grinding. Grinding is for gold sellers. Do yourself a favor, just stick to what you enjoy and forget the rest.
