I can't post them, this forum has "rules."

I have my home page set to igoogle, and one of the gadgets I have shows me the national geographic photo of the day. The bulk of my desktops are attained from there. There are some stunning pics to chose from.

Photo of the day

edit - that link is intended to be to the photo of the day page and not specifically to that picture.

I like that one Helix. Did you take the photo yourself?

yes. Canon Rebel T2i. saved up a while to get it, and it has been worth every penny.

that Saturday morning, i looked out my window, saw that the cloud / clear ratio had a chance of being ideal, got dressed, and high tailed it for the country. i got several good shots; that and one other were the best.

That is an excellent photo! Great job. We have a couple other members who do some great photography(Winston, bub, donsoutherland IIRC) and I always enjoy seeing the pictures they take.

Do we have a photography thread? I love looking at pics members take of sceneries near their home.

one of my legendary nebula wallpapers

My great suggestion for desktops is Wally 2.4.1. It changes your desktop as quickly or as slowly as you want and it uses google, buzz, bing, photobucket, flickr whatever you want... and it searches on key words you tell it to. I've been using it on linux, mac and windows now for over a year now and it's been great. If you have wallpaper files it'll throw them in as well. It also keeps a history and allows you to keep the one's you like locally.
