We have created a news bot for Debate Politics. We are currently testing this as a feature and it is still in beta stage. It is only posting in the US Elections forum currently. It will pull 2 stories every 12 hours and post them for discussion. Please report posts with no content.
News Source is Digg.com

lol - I've actually looked into a "digg" type system. There is an addon avail to do that. I am waiting on feedback from other forums...

Digg seems a really poor source, espicially for politics, as it reflects much less "current events" type new articles and much more whichever ones campaigns can mobilize their voter base to digg or bury.
...which, knowing which candidate has the best grass roots movement, espicially online, the particular mindset of the owner of the site, and the vast majority of the news coming out into the election forum, I'm not all to surprised this is the method it went.
But really, the news bot seems to often spam news that's already been posted by other people, or spam opinion peices that are not really objective news articles. If its kept and digg is kept looking at a 2nd source as well would be nice. | |
