Foreign Minister, Prof. Ibrahim Ghandour ruled out that the issue of Halayeb and Shalateen be a point of contention between Sudan and Egypt, reiterating his assertion that the two are Sudanese and that the relationship between the two countries is a red line.
The minister accused some parties of seeking to destabilize the relationship between Khartoum and Cairo, adding that Sudan will continue to demand and renew complaint and return of Halayeb and Shalateen, stressing the keenness of Sudan to its relations with neighboring countries.
Addressing the celebration of the Sudanese Workers Trade Unions Federation, Ghandour said that one of the threats facing Sudan in its relations with neighboring countries are armed movements and terrorist organizations, noting that Sudan enjoys strong relations with its neighbors, expecting heads and ministers of African countries of Guinea, Gambia to visit Sudan in the coming days, referring to the strong ties with the Arab world.
The minister said that there is no justification for the US embargo on Sudan, stressing that the dialogue with the US administration will not stop.
