ISIL’s high command has sent a senior Iraqi enforcer to head its outpost in Muammar Gaddafi’s home city of Sirte, Libyan intelligence officials have told The Daily Telegraph.

The leader, a bespectacled man known only by the nom de guerre Abu Omar, has been ordered to tighten the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant’s grip on Sirte to prepare it as a possible bolthole for ISIL’s leaders in Syria and Iraq, the officials said.

ISIL is believed to have up to 3,000 fighters in the city, who have received a warm welcome from embittered former Gaddafi loyalists.

British have troops on the ground.
US, and EU nations (no listing yet) contingent will be led by Italy to deploy up to 6 K troops.

Arab League Countries states they will also provide support. Doubtful it will be of much use as in short term and limited. We have seen how they have mainly removed AC from attacks on ISIL in Iraq. They cry a lot but want everyone else to do their dirty work.
