I'm a former member of the GOP and now identify myself as a Libertarian. No political party defines me completely, as I would suspect that is the case for most people. I've been a member and moderator at several different political sites. Debate Politics is my favorite, even though I have a ton of people from other sites with same AND differing political views whom I respect a ton, and have maintained contact with quite a few.
I'm a mother of two teenagers. My son and daughter are both in high school and are very active. My son is adopted and struggles with ADHD and fetal alcohol syndrome. He's a good kid and is very dedicated to baseball and JROTC. My daughter had major surgery in January, 2012 and is stronger than a lot of adults I know. She's an honor roll student and active in girls softball, JROTC and HS marching band. I love them both very much.
I am also a Residential Program Manager for a couple of group homes for adults with developmental disabilities. It's an extremely stressful, tiring and frustrating job - but it's hands down the most rewarding job I've ever had. My goal for the people I serve is to have them seen for their ABILITY instead of their DISABILITY.
I am a native Kansan and I root for K-State - NOT KU!
I'm fair minded but not a pushover. I firmly believe in treating others the way you would want to be treated. I make a habit of being direct and to the point. I don't dance around an issue when I have something to say. I can be aggressive at times, but I don't believe aggressiveness is a bad thing in certain situations.
I love to talk to different people, so PM me if you'd like to chat.
Peace.
