LITTLE ROCK — A federal judge Monday issued a preliminary injunction barring enforcement of a new state law restricting use of the abortion pill until a lawsuit challenging the law is resolved.

In a 70-page order, Baker questioned the value of requiring an abortion clinic to have a contract with a doctor with hospital admitting privileges.
“Given the record evidence presented at this stage, the court is skeptical about any benefit conferred by this provision. Instead, this court at this stage and on the record before it tends to agree with the district judge who considered a similar restriction in Wisconsin and determined that the contracted physician requirement was a ‘solution in search of a problem,”” Baker said in the order.

Once again, reason and common sense prevail. Yet, the AG's office insists the law is needed, even though there is no evidence of women being harmed because of doctors not having admitting privileges. Just totally ridiculous and they (the AG's office) are making themselves look bad, not to mention wasting taxpayer money.
