Planned Parenthood and the tweet that maybe shouldn't have been [W: #109]

Re: Planned Parenthood and the tweet that maybe shouldn't have been

I didn't see an answer to what I asked you ... what were those PP employees coping with?

Are you aware of the circumstances under which late term abortions occur? They are not elective. They are due to the mother's health (where she and partner have to give up anticipating a new baby) or for a severely defective fetus.

In any case, a procedure ending that life, even if necessary, may be a very sad event for medical personnel participating. It would be for me. As it could be any time such medical professionals must remove a heart from a still warm brain dead person on machines...but they know that heart will go to a better purpose. Or amputating a cancerous limb? How sad would it be removing an already dead fetus by ceasarian? Or trying to save a person shot multiple times in a driveby shooting? All these things are difficult to confront for most people and people cope in different ways. It's rather arrogant and disturbing, IMO, that you feel you can judge people that are PROVIDING these services. Yes they get paid but we do need doctors, nurses, cop, firemen, etc.

Re: Planned Parenthood and the tweet that maybe shouldn't have been

I appreciate the Minnie-Lursa tag team effort but your partner may be too far off the deep end.
She never seems to be on point ... like she's re-stating her opinion regardless of the obvious contradiction to the reality she's shown.
I went thought the same thing last summer when the videos came out.

The methods become unlawful if the timing, method, or procedures are chosen solely to obtain the best samples.
If I'm not mistaken, you appear to at least be suggesting that there could possibly be some conflict with the letter of the Law and what was perhaps done by PP ... maybe yes, maybe no.
That's all I'm saying.
If we can't even agree on that then c'est la vie.

I gave you a direct answer. If illegal, then since there is no practical harm done, the law needs to be changed IMO. Since it seems unclear as written, I cant really hold them responsible for 'breaking the law' and there were no charges pressed....so? Apparently your opinion is not the majority.

We're talking about the PP employees and what they have to cope with.
Not the unfortunate patients and their circumstances or civil servants and theirs.
And you shouldn't make any assumptions about mine in that regard.

And I demonstrated why they may need to cope. I was pretty clear. If you dismiss that reality, that's up to you. Your judgements have been pretty clear up to this point and I dont expect you to change them. Doesnt change that reality tho.

Then I apologize for missing it.
I don't remember any clear examples of what kind of coping the PP employees themselves have deal with.
