Describe the actual organ and tissue donation process in laymans terms to the parents of a deceased newborn and see how many are ok with the donation.

Trying to take funding from ALL PP clinics because a few are allegedly breaking the law is nonsensical and indicative of a disregard for the health of women, particularly poor women, IMO.

Do you believe that everybody lives their lives and thinks the same way based on some political philosophy or even religious affiliation? If they did - obviously there would be no such website as DP.

I don't get it when people claim other people, who don't believe as they do, march in lockstep with some psychic transmission that beams down from a satellite. That they can't deviate from that transmission. Or like horoscopes where everybody body born in the same month have the same fates, the same life experiences because someone made up a chart that claims lives are controlled by the movement of the stars and planets, claimed by a person who writes the daily horoscope.

Not when Congress still appropriates Title X family planning programs for low income women. That would be both Republican and Democrat making sure that happens.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say here--that most parents/people are unfamiliar with the particulars of the process? That if they knew, they would not give consent?

If they had a mental visual (akin to the various "tearing apart tissue" type descriptionsI have seen on these threads)to the actual process - it is less likely they would donate? Who wants to have a visual of their deceased baby (or child or adult)skin removed, bones harvested, tissue removed? Who wants that? I am not saying never, but if you were asked about organ and tissue donation of your deceased newborn and the person talking to you was speaking in terms of shredding tissue and taking out pieces of brain.....how would you feel?More or less apt to donate ?

This is my point - the emotionality of the talk can unfortunately cloud people's judgment. I one hundred percent pro-lifers side on abortion. But it is legal (and will be legal) and a woman retains autonomy over her self. So the question remains, is it legal to transfer fetal remains to a procurement service that will disperse the tissue for medical/scientific purposes? The answer is yes.

I one hundred percent think if someone has distaste for treatments and cures where fetal remains have ever been used they should avoid the same. Go forth and research. Make sure your neonatologist has never ever "practiced" on an aborted fetus. Make sure your treatment has never had roots in fetal tissue research. Make sure your neurosurgeon has never benefited from an aborted fetus. Don't get an ebola or flu vaccine from aborted fetal cell lines. That is your prerogative.

I found it quite ironic that after all the "dismemberment" type visuals that were given by prolifers......then all of a sudden they switched...."now they want whole babies"- the horror?

Like I said, the tissue issue is talked about as some kind of macabre Edgar Allen Poe kind of thing....when in fact it is a legal transfer of tissue for scientific/medical purposes - in order to advance the health and welfare of people.

The videos are out there. If what is said is evidence of "sales" rather than reasonable handling costs....bring it on.

When the final evidence produced by a competent enforcement agency is made public as to the actual wrong doing by PP as a whole, or specific rogue individuals have been proven to have committed a crime or multiple crimes - charges filed, trials held and convictions handed down - then you have every right to agree or disagree with the outcome of our judicial process that either found that crimes were committed or all parties charge are exonerated.

Until then, I respect your right to voice your own opinions based on any sources you find relevant to these allegations against Planned Parenthood.

Yeah well.....like I mentioned a while back with the issue. The investigation isn't over. Moreover, I would think PP would get rid of any employees and what they themselves thought were breaking any laws or making their Organization look bad.
