Criminal impersonation doesn't require him to perform a procedure. Only that he deceptively portray himself in a capacity that could be detrimental to the person he is deceiving...i.e. using a listing for a real medical clinic and not informing the caller before dispensing "advice". Criminal impersonation when the person is seeking medical advice...

Is his facility in fact listed as a medical clinic, or did he simply leave the name the same while changing the listing of the business?

...and where exactly did a given caller say that they were seeking medical advice, and where exactly did the priest either claim to be a medical professional or give medical advice in an official capacity?

That's now the point of contention. We have to now wait to see how it plays out. Could be a couple of months, could be more. Doubt it will be less.

The opening post gave every indication that there was some deception of the type I mentioned. Do I know for sure? No more than you know that it isn't happening. That's what an inquiry is for. Either you will be correct and we will never hear anything more about it "officially" or my suspicions will be realized and we will see it in the news again. Now it's just a waiting game.

So....since we agree that there is an absence of certainty as to rather this whole thing is legal or not, basically this thread boils down to "PL are poopy-heads", "nu-uhh", "yeah huh"....with all the various abortion argument to follow, all of which lead back to "personhood", which leads back to Atheism/Humanism -vs- Theism/Deism....and it's all more of the same.

Let us know when there's something to know on this priest, until then, yall have fun going around the oll circle.

It's a contrivance of his; it stands for wire-hanger abortions, and what he thinks women deserve who would attempt such, were safe medical abortion ever criminalized.
He seems to think this passes for wit/ sardonic humor.
He seems not to recognize the irony.

All he is doing is lending proof to the idea that pro-life is generally not about compassion for the unborn but a cultural invective against women who refuse to subjugate themselves to patriarchal rule and its accompanying "punishments".

I don't find you funny in this case. I don't find that particular humor the least bit entertaining. In fact, I find it distasteful and up there with Phelp's on the seriously-lacking-compassion meter. I have always thought of you as bigger than that. I am shamed that I was a poor judge of character and now that shame is turning to ire.

It is beyond me that someone would disregard the evidence in favor of a tasteless "comedy" bit. I am more appalled that talloullou finds it funny. You are two of the "good" pro-lifers. There aren't many of you. It bothers me to see you engage in senseless mockery of people's lives when you claim to be "pro" LIFE. It is disheartening and sickening that you do not stand with me in my revulsion toward dishonest tactics. I do not permit dishonesty and tastelessness within my own ranks and so I expect the same courtesy from you.

In Jerry's case, I find it even more repellent than in Tallou's; Jerry has himself been directly responsible for at least two abortions.
Does this indicate some sort of perverse self-hatred?
Does he taunt his wife with jokes about hangers?
I find it throws into doubt- in my mind- what Jerry has told us about his life, and I do not like being put in the position of doubting those I thought I knew.

And we're not pro-life, we're “anti-choice” according to okGranny and 1069. The difference being that, as an Evil Conservative ;) , I don't really care about the life of my child, I care about enslaving women.

I didn't get the full measure of your cruelty until now. It is shameful and and lacking in any sense of dignity toward your cause. I am actually disturbed that you keep promoting such nonsense.

Some in your camp call us pro-abortion but we are above that. We have spent time actually hashing out this issue with a genuine desire to find some truth. The hanger jokes are counterproductive and sad. It bothers me. I can't help it. It does.

The woman who imagines herself being strapped down and an abortion forced upon her puts herself in the man’s RL position today. Perhaps I’ll get working on that one next.

As an Evil Conservative I also support the killing of whales for commercial use, women staying home, the use of fossil fuels to promote and accelerate global warming, and turning the sun off.
