Free abortions in Israel

ROFLMAO

Still cant answer it...because he claims it's unanswerable. LOLOLOL

Sorry Charlie....so you cant answer it....we got that several pages ago.

Like I said.....my signature below in green works just fine for me. It makes you look ridiculous with all the effort you take to try and say 'it's not answerable!'

What are you talking about? I don't think I claimed any question was unanswerable here. The closest I came was to state I didn't have much of an opinion on the topic of how rape should be treated in regards to abortion, and in a situation where the fetus was deemed to have rights.

Your emphasis on this makes me more than ever glad that I gave up having sex for good when I was still in my twenties.

It seems to me that women ought to try that, try refusing to have sex with men altogether unless they actually want to get pregnant, and give that explanation to the men seeking sex as they reason that they, the women, are stopping, that there are people out there in the society who say that women consent to pregnancy and childbirth when they say yes.

If women were willing to do that for just a single year, as a kind of fad, I wonder what would happen. I suppose pro-choice and anti-choice men would react differently to that state of affairs. I would like to see that hypothetical act itself out.
I'd actually like to see the results of that, if that happened

right, so you were wrong ...

1) Again, an inconsistency in two positions doesn't prove either of them wrong

I don't know for sure that it is an inconsistency - that's my point. It seems like one to me, but there may be either an eclectic mix (consent and human life) or some underlying principle that makes this really work according for them to some coherent logic.

No one asked about how rape should 'be treated.' Ever, in any context. Only about the consideration of a fetus that is the product of rape...which many pro-lifers are willing to see killed.

I dont know why. Neither do you.

Are you just angry and confused at this point? The full quote was "how rape should be treated in regards to abortion, and in a situation where the fetus was deemed to have rights"

And yes, it is a topic you have been endlessly harping about for the past 3-4 pages. See here, for just one of many examples

lol, you got to be kidding me here?

1) Actually I said I haven't really considered it

2) neither is the same as claiming it is "unanswerable"

Exactly what are you basing angry and confused on? Projecting? LOL Please keep *your* emotions out of this. Abortion is an emotional subject for many, I understand that but it only interferes with discussion.

And now you are just repeating the same things over and over. You dont want to deal with the question? lol....well you attempted to at first by deflecting it all on 'rape' and 'consensual sex.' Now, with the question clarified further, you 'havent considered it.'

LOLOLOL Reading comprehension is a good thing. I didnt say you couldnt answer it in that post...I was asking why others took a position, asking because "I dont know the answer" and neither do you.....unless you believe you can answer for everyone else.

Nice try. If you dont like my posts....feel free to ignore. I realize that it's an ethical question that makes it hard for some people to answer honestly and still cling to their pro-life beliefs. That's the purpose of it. :)

lol, jesus christ. It's like you just write things regardless if they make sense or not

Ya....that's your strategy: if you look silly, keep attacking the person actually trying to conduct a discussion (but not up to your standards! LOLOLOLOLOLOL)

Stop taking up space if you dont have anything to contribute...which you have not...at all...in many many pages. Only sputtering about 'improper arguments!' LOL take your birch switch back to 1780 schoolmaster....it doesnt work on the Internet.

Well, well, well. This ought to help them gain support from the American left for Israel. ;)

Being a liberal doesn't necessarily free you from being a dick to your neighbors. It certainly helps your chances, but by no means is it a guarantee.

Hey, racial eugenics.

That sounds exactly like... oh wait...

In before "Godwin herpaderp."

This is an ongoing thing. In their conduct, the leaders of Israel have done much that draw unpleasant yet unavoidable comparisons.

thank you for proving us all right again :)

Free birth control, too:

Israel will pay for abortions for women between the age of 20 and 33 in 2014, Ha’aretz reports, and health officials announced Monday they hope to expand eligibility to all women in the future.

The funding was approved as part of the 2014 list of state-subsidized medical items, and expands coverage for women who were previously eligible for state-funded abortions only in the case of a medical emergency or sexual abuse. Women under 20 and over 40 are already eligible for state-funded abortions regardless of circumstance.

The new rule will allow for 6,300 more women to have abortions next year. The director of the committee that determines the list of subsidized items said at a press conference that Israel intends to expand state-funded abortions to all women, and make contraceptive pills universally available too.

What's a hard right winger to do?

Support Israel at all costs, no matter what?

The conservative religious right is one of the most fervent financial supporters for Israel. I wonder how they reconcile this? Interesting times we live in.

the same way they likely reconcile the tax and welfare systems of the state: ignore them because that isn't what they are interested in. It's not really any different than any other advocacy group
