Battle Brewing Over Giant Desert Solar Farm

Battle Brewing Over Giant Desert Solar Farm - Green Inc. Blog - NYTimes.com

This proves conclusively that Environmentalist are phonies and don't give a tinkers damn about the environment. I'm not talking bout the rank and file followers who actually believe in the rhetoric and lies they have drilled into their heads. I'm talking about the people behind all of these movements. There are fights against clean renewable energy not only in Southern California but Nevada on a Military base. They oppose doing the right thing because if it catches on and spreads it will put these goof balls out of business and force them into productive jobs where they actually have to work for a living rather than set back and complain constantly about such serious issues as saving the tsetse fly from extinction or some other such nonsense.
Southern California has thousands of square miles of open desert land great for solar energy production and the negative impact is trumped up and nonexistent. The same is true in Nevada.
These phony environmental groups need to put out of business with the help of RICO laws and people elected to office who have logical intelligent ideas to deal with real issues we face in ways that take into consideration the needs of the people and the safe a clean application of technology that will fill the needs and not kill the economy in the process. This is not rocket science but it does take a bit of logical sensible thought.
It's time to shut down those who only give lip service to issues for their own benefit and the jobs we need done the right way after we get the phonies out of the way.

Tessera Solar plans to plant 34,000 solar dishes — each one 40 feet high and 38 feet wide — on 8,230 acres of the Mojave Desert in Southern California.

Although the lengthy licensing process for the Calico solar farm remains in the early stages, several environmental groups are already raising red flags about the massive project’s impact on such protected wildlife as the desert tortoise, the Mojave fringe-toed lizard and Nelson’s bighorn sheep.

Calico is one of dozens of industrial-scale solar farms planned for the Southwest that have divided environmentalists over the need to promote renewable energy while protecting fragile desert ecosystems.
