| Organic farming environmental disaster! According to Peter Bradnock of the British Poultry Council: "Organic poultry meat has about 45% more global warming potential than indoor-reared poultry meat". Shouldn't we be taxing the organic farming industry more, given their higher pollution levels?

Organic farming is on the current liberal "favored" list, so it can do no wrong.
I am happy to see the wheels coming off, to some degree anyway, of the insane corn ethanol movement.

Organic food not only tastes better, it makes me feel better after I eat it and I am willing to pay a premium for that. More Americans should consider the notion of paying more for your food and eating less of it.

It's all in your head. If you had two chicken breasts or two apples in front of you, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference by tasting them.
What's wrong with a corn based diet?? I grew up eating a corn product every day along with animals fed by corn. |

Processed foods, and meats make me feel sick after I eat them. Whenever I have fast food I feel bloated.
I've had the double blind regular vs organic milk taste test as well, passed it all four times. YOU CAN TASTE A DIFFERENCE, same with the eggs. Sugar and bread shouldn't be white, and most foods used to be made with whole grains.
The ONLY argument you can make is that I cannot taste the difference in genetically modified, or hormone growth foods; which is true. Quote:

We have replaced what we feed our livestock because of food costs, and it shows. We also eat WAY too much cheese as a nation, consume far too much sugar in our drinks, and most of us eat much more meat than previous generations.

But are you certain about that?
And sure the figures are not just simply due to population growth?
The reason i ask is that there seems to be a lot more Vegetarians now days.
And I know i eat a lot less meat than before.
A whole lot less if you consider seafood as seafood and not "meat". |

Also replaced my soda and coffee consumption with tea and water. Simply because I found that I feel better, sleep better and wake more alert and less groggy; even with my vices. |

The latter makes me physically ill and has on several occasions caused an allergic reaction. (swollen tongue, swollen throat, vomiting, excess salivating, nausea, bodily pain)
Since those occurances, I have eaten very little beef. But the saving grace is if I can find organic beef. THAT I can eat without any ill effects.
In light of that, I've started buying organic poultry as well.
As for the organic veggies and fruit... holy crap. I bought a crapload of the stuff at a market recently. Best veggies and fruit EVER. I will be returning to stock up again this weekend.
I also only use organic, unprocessed sugar - have for some time. When I bought some at the store once, the checkout lady asked me about it (because it's WTF more expensive than regular sugar) She asked if it was really better. I told her yes, it tasted better, you needed less of it, AND... that sugar was NOT white. She looked at me like I was insane. "No really," I said, "Sugar isn't naturally white."
