The government already regulates it and should go even farther. They determine who is and is not a legitimate religion and/or non-profit entity and grants tax exempt status. Churches should be required, as part of their tax exempt status, to prove on a year-to-year basis, that they are actually non-profit. Giving their ministers million-dollar houses and five Mercedes and trips to the Bahamas is not non-profit in any way, it's out and out fraud.
