Mass Murderers?

Interesting question indeed.....being an avid fan of star wars(**** star trek) I'd need a one piece of information before I awnser. When you say Sith/Dark Jedi which group do you mean? Cause they're not the same. The Sith = Darth Vader, Darth Maul, Darth Sidious. Dark Jedis = Kyp Durron, Mara Jade and Jeng Droga. While they seem to be same they're far from equal. The Sith tend to be former Jedis. The Dark Jedi dont always have to be trained students of the Jedi arts.

I think both groups have members that can be considered serial killers. However the Dark Jedi tend to be under the control of the Sith and their job description covers a wider range of habilities. All Siths have killed. Not all Dark Jedi have.

Also they all think Einstien was smart. If you take the number of people that were ever murdered and then look at the fact that he practically made the atomic bomb. And now we have enough bombs to blow the earth up 150 times last time i checked. So i really think Einstien is alot worst then any of these crazy killers.

So i just want to know what you think about this?

Dude you are very confused. The serial killers you listed may have been somewhat smart but in the end they proved how dumb they were by committing the acts in the first place.
How can you try to compare Intelligence to serial killing saying a serial killer is smart because he kills? If anything they’re methodical and that doesn’t equal being smart.

The interesting thing about this thread is the fact that people saying mass murderers are stupid are reacting in an obvously emotional way than a logical way.Which proves the point people bipass logic and follow their emotions all the time.

For example ted bundy was emotionally compelled to kill women but when using the logical part of his brain he was good at evading the police and hiding his real self to people.

likewise people on DP like to think of intelligence as are great virtue to which they are emotionally compelled to respect.The idea of an evil man like ted bundy being intelligent distresses them therefor reacting against the idea claiming that if he was so smart he wouldnt do that when its self evident that people do stupid things no matter how intelligent they are.

If Galileo was so intelligent why did he act in a way that insured him being put under house arrest for life?

Probably, in the current atmosphere of school violence, statements like these could be interpreted as glorifying (or at minimum respecting) heinous violence--that's probably why the teacher argued with you and the kids looked at you like you had a second head. When students make statements like that, it can be scary even if you didn't intend it that way--one never knows.

I guess that was a bad example, thats the only thing that could come to my mind.

I dont think what they did was right I'm not going to argue that but i think that they were incredibly smart for them to do what they want. I guess it sounds kinda brutal but i think thats right.

I'm actually only 15.

And what i meant to say earlier was that people dont feel bad for people treating the Murderers like $hit but when they kill someone else i guess its a terrible thing. I think that peoples anger and other emotions get stored up inside of them until they cant take it. The guy that does my hair is gay, hes a great guy be he was suicidal and hes out of rehab now. I was thinking about it and I guess indirectly all the people that liek say stuff behind his back and hes aware of it really got to him. I think it was no different with some of the murderers. But I'm in no postition to know about how they felt and all but I'm just saying that maybe if society wasnt so mean and people were just a bit nicer maybe some of the people with above iqs maybe wouldve found a cure for cancer instead of killing people.

Yeah I'm probably going to get blasted by saying this but I wouldn't let a gay suicidal barber cut my hair if I were you. Matter of fact I wouldn't let anybody holding a sharp object come near if suicidal was one of the words used to describe their state of mind.

I appreciate your sentiment and I completely understand your position as I got some of the same looks you talk about from my peers when I suggested that Satan was the hero of Paradise Lost. You will find that as you advance in your education, some of the things that buy you a look of askance now will be widely accepted later. You suffer the misfortune of being mature for you age and having advanced beyond polite social banter of most high school interactions. It is telling that you are willing to look at truth and to offer dissertation on your observation rather than parrot back what is socially acceptable for you to say among your peers. Keep up the good work...I look forward to reading your remarks about many issues here on the forum.

If I may offer an assertion that might pique your interest...serial killers are not often a product of society at large (except when you consider mass murderers like the Columbine shooters). They are more often a result of a more localized sedition such as a poor home life, an abusive parent, or a childhood trauma. It is a very interesting phenomena if one can handle examining such an ugly issue.

Yea i think thats a mean thing to say, hes not a bad guy hes probably one of the nicest guys youll ever meet. And he does the best hair in like the 3 towns around me, so what if hes suicidal?

I'm just saying I'd stay away from anybody who handles sharp objects and just happens to be suicidal. I've heard of too many *******s who want to kill themselves and end up taking 4-5 innocent people before they do.

I don't think that Hatuey meant any disrespect. It would be concerning for anyone who may be intent on hurting themself on handling anything potentially dangerous. And I'm glad your friend got help and is doing better.

Yeah basically I met what the Cap said. I think it's the Cali thing my mom came over so I get to eat all them good california foods. It's the food I tell ya the food!
 
Yea sorry if I was offensive, just the guys really nice. Yea and that is a good point I dont really know if he wants to take people out around him out or not, this is funny how it ties in because hes a really nice guy that wouldnt hurt a fly.
