Trump courted controversy deliberately to trigger wall to wall news that only appealed to his base (without converting Hillary’s base). This was a specific strategy. But it didn’t work because they felt the media was biased against Trump. The MSM are not hypnotists and adults can think well enough for themselves to largely filter out unfair bias if they had enough time to do it over…which, considering the election lasted nearly a year, they did.

People cite the MSM as a politically correct rationalization to hide their actual inner racism, sexism and selfishness (in the case of latino voters who wanted to keep mexicans et al out to protect their own blue collar jobs), and lack of empathy and care for their fellow men.

I can prove this. All of Trump’s policies can could have been stated with ZERO xenophobia, racism and bigotry, and stoking of the fragile relations between the various races in America :

A. We need a southern wall to keep out illegals, most of whom enter via Mexico.
B. We need to stop the bloodletting in middle class jobs. Lets impose tarriffs on US companies wanted to move operations overseas.
C. We need to stop wall street running the country.
D. We need to empower policing to save inner cities without which opportunities are worthless.
E. We need someone who is always honest and straight up with you, even if that makes him look bad sometimes.
F. We need to freeze all migration from terrorist affected countries until Isis is completely destroyed.
G. We need to completely destroy Isis, and work with anyone who will help us regardless political disagreements on other issues.
H. We need better relations with Russia.
I. We need to modernize our military.
J. We need to reduce overseas military expenditure.
K. We need to scrap obamacare and replace it with something more sustainable.
L. We need to scrap regulations which hold back industry like coal.
M. We need to tax Mexico if it will not pay for the wall.
N. We need to deport undocumented people who have criminal records, without question.
O. We need to drain the swamp in Washington i.e. get rid of career politicians and lobbyists, who are corrupting the entire process of government at all levels.

Not only did trump FAIL to state the above in that manner, the republican leadership AND republican voters did not INSIST that he do so or else. Why ? Its not all lower IQ. It is selfishness and reverse prejudice (latino vote, he got 2% more than Romney). Its sexism, racism, and selfishness.

They should have demanded that somebody else take the top of the ticket and Trump leave. Despite that,
Americans are really not as honorable, wonderful and great as we advertise ourselves to be. Trump’s win is living proof of that.

Basically, half the country is about as unamerican as it gets.

It must be a nightmare that the Progressive message of hate and intolerance resulted in the loss of the White House, a Republican majority in Congress, and the loss of more State Houses across the country.

Perhaps that should send a message to Progressives that people are not willing to tolerate the intellectually vacant agenda they are pushing.

No, half the country is not irredeemably deplorable, they are just fed up with dealing with the hateful message contained in your OP.

My guess it the message will never be received.

Oh, what garbage. Trump did not win because of racism, sexism, and bigotry.

Do you realise Trump received almost the same amount of votes that Mitt Romney and John McCain got?

No, the reason why Trump won the election is because there was some real enthusiasm behind his campaign, a campaign that was based on being anti-establishment, and the fact that the Democrats ran a uninspiring and cookie-cutter estabishment candidate like Hillary ****ing Clinton.

And another reason why Trump won, is because of the constant accusations of racism and sexism from people like you.

EDIT: Latinos have the ability to be racist too. It's not just white people that can be racist.

It is typical of the lobbyists and liars to accuse others of the very sins they commit. That's why Trump won the popular vote by a landslide......oh sorry, the bottom fell out for him over there.

You must think everyone is stupid not to recognised what you're doing.

And where do you think that enthusiasm came from ? It wasn't his pathetic GOT mechanism. His wanton hypocrisy, lying, racism, bigotry and sexism...all of which was present in white america to a mild but significant degree, but stocked to fever pitch by trump. Of course that is enthusiasm for you.

It is not the number of votes that counts in this analysis. It is the detailed, drill down, demographic exit polls, and in that regard he did better than Romney and McCain in the white uneducated vote and the latino vote.

Racism is a fundamental, visceral emotion. It is easier to trigger it, and it makes you more energised to act in pursuit of it. Lord of the flies type thinking. If you have enough insight into people, you will understand this.

LOL! Did you come here to express your butthurt for a particular reason?

We have our own in-house Progressives that beat you to it.

I'm here to show everyone what the real problem is, that everyone is too scared to confront. But confront it you must to have any chance of defeating it.

Half of America is an unamerican as it gets. Not 0.5%, but something close to 46%. This is a real national problem that will poison our future all the way.

I already stated it previously The enthusiasm was from his campaign being in opposition the establishment. That is where the majority of the enthusiasm behind Trump's campaign originated from.

Not from the racism, or sexism, or what-the-****-ever-ism.

It does count. Because acting like Trump won due to a 'white-lash' is completely untrue.

And Trump did do better with Latinos than Romney. So are they included in that racist demographic too, or what? What about all the women who voted for Trump? Are they all just sexist bigots? What about the black people that voted Trump?

And you're doing it well. But again, Trumpsters have known what the problem is. Hence the win by Trump.

The good news is that the progressives are so butthurt that they will not figure it out by midterms.

Prediction confirmed. By all means, continue with the accusations and insults.

The Progressive message of intolerance, bigotry and hate can't relegated to the dust bin fast enough.

The OP is right in saying Trump could have ran a less racially divisive campaign. It's not an accident neo Nazis and the alt right are falling over themselves in excitment. His base also includes working people who don't want to lose their jobs and people who voted for other personal reasons, but his racebaiting also got people to the polls.

The white lash is real. You can tell in the cathartic views being expressed on this site. People felt marganized and disenfrachised under president Obama, and they are too uncomfortable to come out and talk about it. They are holding back from having the actual conversation.

Trump ran a winning campaign. Some of it based on the belief that PC needs is out of hand and needs to go.

Hate and intolerance towards who?

Well let's see. Let's start with the person who called 10's of millions of voters irredeemable deplorables, and then carry that over to those who echoed the sentiment.

The political learning curve for most on the left has gone pretty much flat. They've been told what to think and believe and they will not move beyond those instructions. They'll continue to lose ground until they figure out that they are the ones spewing the hate and divisiveness and that they need to stop doing so. The Dem. party has become the epitome of the "good old boys" mindset and are now the party of the status quo. While they label themselves "progressives" and claim to be the ones pushing for change, the cold, hard truth is that they are stuck right they have been for the last 20 years. Trying to relive the Bill Clinton "glory years" while the world has moved on without them...

This is what the Dems. need to hear from their own. Madame Governor, I think that you need to push for own show on CNN.

Now Now ... go easy on the ol' girl.
She was only repeating what she was told to say.
And that raises a whole different slate of topics to discuss.

Some trump supporters are deplorable, especially the ones saying "hail Trump." What do you think about their racism, hate, and bigtory?

Pleas expand on this accusation of hate and bigtory. I have a hard time believing this amount of anger is all due to the deplorable comment Hillary made.

I think those few hundred or perhaps thousand people who fit that bill are scumbags.

I place them in the same category of people who think 10's of millions of voters are irredeemably deplorable.

Member when people went crazy and launched attacks when Republican's would suggest people are not "real americans" or were "un-American" for disagreeing with them? I member.

You're talking about hate and division too. In face of Trump being elected, what kind of hate and division are concerned with and unconcerned with? I really want you guys to air out what you're referring to.
