It’s time to admit Hillary Clinton is an extraordinarily talented politician

Well said, and only part of her shortcomings.
I like to add that she couldn't even keep her womanizing rapist husband zipped up and covered for his evil deeds. Now she dares to sell herself as a champion for women? How despicable.

I don't think Hillary ever cared much about her husband's philandering; theirs is a business partnership. That partnership has brought her where she is today. No, I don't think that Hillary is a "talented" politician. For me, a talented one would be effective, and I can't think of anything that she has accomplished that has been that.

As for her "championing of women's rights," blech. That's just a lie.

She MAY HAVE BEEN the brains behind Bill Clinton's move to governor...and to the presidency. She certainly was a contributing factor.

Not because she did not cut off his nuts...but because she supported him and urged him to excel.

I'm sure she did!

She wanted to get ahead...to better herself and her family.

What a disgusting goal for anyone in your estimation, Bubba?

Not something you would do?

Not something any hero of yours would do?

Not something damn near every intelligent, competent human on the planet would do...right?

Yeah, she had a reason.

So did Lady Macbeth.

Hillary does care, however, when Bill gets caught in his philandering, and seriously so. It damages opportunities to acquire more power and wealth.

Why aren't more women asking "how dare she pretend to be for women"? She stood idly by while women were victimized, she helped covering it up to serve her own ambitions.
And now women vote for her?

So did Lady Macbeth.

Okay.

I'll buy that.

So does every politician I've ever heard of.

The hatred of the woman is so over-the-top it is laughable. I actually enjoy watching the discomfort of haters.

Oh, my gosh...am American politician who wants more power and more wealth.

What are we coming to?

I actually think Hillary hates the average person in this country, but that's another topic. I'm not quite certain exactly where the country as a whole draws the line between the average politician and the one's who step over that line. In my estimation, Hillary stepped over the ethical line a long time ago, but I have reached a similar conclusion for other politicians too. In my view, Hillary is exceptional only in the fact that she hasn't been caught yet.

I'm saying it is a possibility.

You said it was not. You said she had nothing to do with his election.

I am saying IT IS A POSSIBILITY.

Now you are hedging your bet.

Good move on your part.

Glad I was able to get you to see the light.

While I don't much care for Bill there is no doubt he is an intelligent man that many people find likable. He is just naturally a people person that can pull people toward him with his charm and intelligence. While Hillary might be intelligent she is crude and condescending to people and has serious problems making people like her to any considerable degree. She has also shown to not really think much of anything through and has a habit of doing dumb **** like starting an ad campaign to appeal to men that actually insults them by suggesting they aren't real men if they don't vote for her. This is in fact the same thing she did with women by bringing out two women that suggested women aren't real women if they don't vote for her.

It's not so much about the acquiring. It's more about what one is willing to do to achieve it.

I also think she will make a terrific President. You don't spend a lifetime working for something and then toss it away when you get it. She will be ready from day one and that is why the GOP has spent to much time and money trying to tear her down. There are scared to death of her.

Everyone should be scared of her. Many on the left are too mind numbingly stupid to see the danger.

The fact that she has spent a lifetime trying to get it should provide people with a hint for why she is not desirable.

You certainly are free to do that...but I cannot fathom why you would.

I see no reason whatever to suspect that Hillary Clinton hates the average person in this country.

I do not see her as more dishonest than people like Ronald Reagan, for instance...or either of the George Bushes.

In fact, I think both Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush were MORE dishonest...and about MUCH, MUCH more important things than Hillary Clinton.

But...like I said, you have a right to disagree...and I know many people who are in your camp on this.

I intend to vote for her; I expect her to win...and I think she will be a good president.

I certainly will wish whoever wins...the best of luck to have a successful administration.

The best leaders aren't those interested in power. If you get the individual that wants the job because of the power then you're likely going to get someone that will abuse the position.

Don't ask me, Lovebug; I don't get it. Hillary has no regard for other women, only for herself. There is one issue, if she genuinely cared about women, she would be shouting about from her bully pulpit. I'm not going to identify it here because I don't know who lurks at DP. This is an issue that would gain her votes...if she were sincere, which she isn't.

Not even counting the little girl she attacked in court and then joked about years after the fact.

That is why I thought Sanders was the most qualified. There isn't any one candidate with whom I completely agree. Sanders is sincerely wanting to help people, he means what he says. Power grabbing and the willingness to do or say anything gets the win. ***shrugs***

Gimme a break.

If you want to sell snake oil...go where the rubes hang out!

"The best leaders aren't those interested in power"!!!!!

You are a card, Henrin...A CARD! ;)

She is as "sincere" as any politician.

How a woman like you can think of helping the opposition is what I find incredible.

People that want a position of authority for the power will generally try to concentrate power to the highest positions, while those that take a position of authority for other reasons will have a better chance to distribute power to those people he or she is leading. The vast majority of those people that find themselves in government or in higher positions of authority in general will be those people that want to assume as much power as they can gather, but those people that are many times the best leaders only take as much as is needed.

Yeah, sure!

I appreciate you sharing your wishful thinkings about what "leaders" want...and will settle for.

If you do not covet power...you are never going to be a LEADER. Wanting the power is an essential...it is what provides the drive to attain it.

Power isn't given...it is taken. And the meek do not take it...nor do the people "who want to do good for humanity and not seek power for power's sake."

We are not talking about meek people. There is a difference between wanting to lead and wanting to control. You will never find a good leader in someone that wants things to be their way and doesn't engage those people around them, but you will find them in someone that allows others control and a say in the affairs of things.

You say tomayto I say tomahto.

Ambition doesn't, make that shouldn't, have to come with such ruthlessness, corruption, and deceit.
Hers and Bill's did.

If you want to LEAD...you'd better want power. And if you want to lead on a grand scale (like for instance, as president of the most powerful country on the planet)...you had better want that power like you want oxygen.

Obviously you are going to stick with you dream.

Fine.

Your hatred of them is clouding your judgement, Bubba. Bill and Hillary are no more corrupt or deceitful than Ronald and Nancy Reagan.

But, if it makes you feel better to think they are...do it.

She's going to be elected president in November.

If given a vote...I would vote the way I said on both questions...and would do it with absolute confidence that I was voting the correct way.

I believe you.
If you were someone like Loretta Lynch, in this context that would be called prosecutorial discretion.
In another context, if Loretta went a different way what you did could be called jury nullification.
