Jon Oliver Eviscerates Donald Drumpf, a.k.a. Trump

After watching Christie look like a hostage while Drumpf droned on and on at that potemkin village of a press conference last night here's what happened a bit later:

No, "hey, thanks for your help, Chris," or "you've been a big help,Chris" but simply being dismissed and ordered away. This is pretty much how Drumpf treated his reality show "losers" and is sure does look like Christie has been completely neutered in order to get something (a big plum job? a presidential pardon?) to be Drumpf's on-call lap dog.

Would building a wall stop illegal immigration, nope...

How am I not in the tank for the guy? He's not put forth any actual plans, how could I be for him? you all should go after that instead of the stupid gotcha ****. you all are so busy being media sheep that you can't see that your helping trump.



So far, my vote will be for Gary Johnson, I see no way I would vote for the hairpiece guy, the socialist who never had a real job, or the entitled ruling class criminal.

Off the top of my head, complete intolerance of criticism; militarism; demand of loyalty; self-consciousness about parts of body (Trump: finger length/Koreans height); harshness in dealing with anyone considered an enemy; over-inflated ego and inflated notion of self-greatness.

An Engineer Explains Why Trump's Wall Is So Implausible

Moreover, most people who enter the U.S. and stay illegally come on planes and have visas that they just over-stay. Building a 50 ft. wall isn't going to have much effect on them.

You can see by demographics of border states, how not really correct that is.


you see your real argument is that illegal immigration is actually declining since 2007, but I wouldn't want to tell you how you should frame your argument. ;)

People hopping over the border used to be a problem. It's minor these days. The wall is an expensive solution for a minor problem and it is a solution that will take decades, if not eternity, to complete.

1. The "intelligence" in this post makes me wonder why you are attacking others intelligence and their allegiance to the "media."

2. We are questioning him! Yet you take it as we are either brainwashed by John Oliver. Which we have proven we are not and have backed that up with links other than the John Oliver video, or that we are not attacking his plans.

We are attacking his plans because it's soooo easy to point out when his plans change. Romney was crucified for flipping a few times. This guy does it weekly!

He flipped so fast he should get a job at Burger King because he'd be great at flipping burgers! Your allegiance to trump puzzles me if you truly aren't voting for him. and no, I have no allegiance to trump. I find the whole thing fascinating how it is playing out. How the establishment is panicking, how the media is playing "gotcha", how the snotty liberals think that all his supporters are idiots.....

meanwhile he's winning.... the ONLY good think I can say about trump, like sanders, is a win would go a long way in breaking up the corporatist ruling class.

I thought, while funny, it was irritatingly lite on the criticism. In a way, I thought Stephen Colbert's [another Daily Show alum] critique was harder-hitting.

1. Um, no we just think it's funny. You are the one that has the problem with it.

2. It's post 62 if you really are that ignorant and even after you specifically asked me for links in post 48. You still can't find it...Again. Not showing a high degree of constraint on your part does not help defend Donald Trump especially after we are giving you links proving you wrong and you are blatantly ignoring them.

3. Well, everything he does say is pretty stupid and is easily able to be swallowed for the poorly educated people that he loves, but mixing those people in with us (those of us who actually care about and follow politics on a regular basis) who are debating you here, is ridiculous and that is what you are doing! However, before I hear details of his plans whatever they may be, I actually want to be able to trust the guy by what he actually says... Trump's flip flops are so visible and easily researched that only the GOP's base would not be able to discover them! That's quite telling what the GOP base has become. A bunch of unintelligent fools that are making me think twice about my membership.

Nah...I just think its kinda funny that someone like Oliver would make fun of Trumps family name. You know...coming from a guy that got his start from a guy named 'Jon Stewart'.

It's hard to feel sorry for Drumpf when he makes fun of women's looks and other candidates looks, while calling others "loser." Trump did say of Jon Stewart, "that he should be proud of his heritage [when learning that Stewart changed his name from a very Jewish name.]" In that light, "Trump should be proud of his family name."

How do you know he isnt proud of his name? You do get you can be proud of your heritage and not feel compelled to change your name...right? Drumpf in German is literally 'trump' as in trump card. Do you know if YOUR family name has been changed? If it has been do you feel compelled to change it back to something from 3-6 generations previous? Hell...my heritage is from Denmark where tradition holds your last name is the first name of your father with a 'son' or 'dottir' following it. Think we will stick with what we have had for the last 4 generations.
