Re: Fox/WSJ GOP debate thread!

You beat me in, by a nano-second.

BTW, it's 9P EST, 8P CST.

Actually, you really beat me, but you only made the thread about the pre-debate!

Im interested in how Trump will play it tonight, and Carson in response to the failed media hit job on him, and also if Rubio can get more of him moments this time around.

Fox is smart to not require authentication to stream the debates tonight.

Re: Fox/WSJ GOP debate thread!

If no one minds, I'll just add my "just missed" OP here for anyone's reference.

Pertinent info:

"The second debate, which is slated for a 9 ET start, will be moderated by FBN's Managing Editor of Business News Neil Cavuto and Global Markets Editor Maria Bartiromo, as well as WSJ’s Editor-in-Chief Gerard Baker. Candidates at the podium for the later debate will be: Donald Trump, Dr. Ben Carson, Sen. Marco Rubio, Sen. Ted Cruz, Carly Fiorina, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Ohio Gov. John Kasich and Sen. Rand Paul."

Vesper has a thread on this too.

Re: Fox/WSJ GOP debate thread!

I'm just tired as hell, hope I don't fall asleep during the debate.

Nope, I really had the second thread all fired-up & ready to press "submit"!

I always wonder why I have to be rich & handsome, rather than good! :2razz:

But yeah, Mr. Trump & Dr. Carson are going to be in the spotlight, particularly Dr. Carson I believe.

After watching the JV, I predict an informative & substantive debate.

Look at my nick & avatar - ever watch one of his videos?

If I can stay awake, you can! :2razz:

Im also looking forward to seeing the difference in tone compared to the last debate.

I think the moderation will be better this time around. And Im looking forward to some economics red meat!

Also, note, this gal can actually sing the national anthem. (not easily done)

Re: Fox/WSJ GOP debate thread!

According to Lou Dobbs, Trump needs to give substantive details, and Jeb needs a boost now or never.

Yes, and that was an excellent intro worthy of a pro sports team.

Jeb's on his last legs, I believe - he's gotta' execute tonight!

Re: Fox/WSJ GOP debate thread!

The theme will be the economy and what each has said.

Little wonder that the WSJ is represented on the mod stage.

Re: Fox/WSJ GOP debate thread!

Trump is opposed to the min wage. Typical. Can't make profits in a casino if you need to pay everybody $15 per hour.

Foolish conservative answer.

Re: Fox/WSJ GOP debate thread!

Cavuto is awesome.

Foolish conservative answer.

Are you going to post mundane statements every two seconds?

Re: Fox/WSJ GOP debate thread!

Carson said he supports a complex min wage structure ...

Carson says raising the min wage raises unemployment.

More foolishness.

Re: Fox/WSJ GOP debate thread!

Carson, awesome answer on minimum wage.
