The Obama Re-election Fiscal Train Wreck

Barack Hussein Obama announced his re-election as US President amid the thunderous jubilation from his mob of Chicago cultists. Admittedly, neither Romney nor Obama presented a credible plan addressing the monumental fiscal challenges confronting the United States. However, Obama’s unrivalled use of demagoguery, sophistry, and platitudinous remarks certainly constitute a new low in America’s inexorable descent from constitutional republic to banana republic.

Unlike leaders of religious cults who often profess that they are the chosen instruments of God, Obama does not require Divine assistance to end poverty, bring subsidised medical care to the infirm, cool the planet, bring peace to troubled lands, balance the budget, put people through college, or achieve any other objective he sets out to accomplish. Rather, Obama only requires us to come together under his tutelage and all the earthly problems that have plagued humanity since time immemorial will magically disappear.

Despite my visceral revulsion for Obama, I firmly believe that he is a symptom of what ails the United States, and much of the Western world, rather than the root cause. Perhaps the one thing more dangerous than Obama is the underlying stupidity, credulity, selfishness, and shortsightedness of the masses that permit such a mediocrity of a man to reach the pinnacle of power. The idea that you can eliminate all vexing human problems simply by handing power to Obama and submitting to his will is farcical and destructive.
