General 2012 Election Results Discussion Thread

Virgina flipped as well, but very few precints reporting so far.

What's up folks!

Finished up dinner, ready to dive into this.

Looks like my state is what I was expecting...last I saw was a 49% tie in exit polls for CNN. Not shocking. My county is going to be one of the primary ones to watch.

Keep an eye on Loudoun and Prince William. If either are Romney wins or even Romney being close, Virginia likely goes Red.

I voted this afternoon. No panthers, Obama posters, fat women, or drama. I was actually disappointed.

CNN has Obama up 2,610 to Romney 749 in South Carolina, of course that's less than 1% of precincts reporting but damn it thats good enough for me I'm calling SC for Obama.

Interested to see how the Warren/Brown senate race plays out. As well as Allen/Kaine.

Florida shifted back. Wonder if any site has a list of which counties have reported so you can better see which 'strongholds' have reported, I'm betting some states are going to flip back and forth quite a bit.

Someone will win. A bunch of people will be happy, many of those will be obnoxious about it, a bunch of people will be sad/mad, many of those will be obnoxious about it. We will continue on with a poor economy and far too much debt. ;)

I plan to be obnoxious.

West Virginia to Romney.

I saw that CNN earlier had an exit poll for Virginia saying 39% Democrats, 33% Republicans. In 2008? 39% Democrats, 33% Republicans.

Not sure how to read that. On one hand, that's less than the 8%+ some polls were thinking the margin would be. On the other hand, that's more Democrats then Republicans so you'd think that's bad Romney. On the third hand, which is apparently attached to a three armed mutant, Obama's not seeming to carry Democrats or Independents quite as well as he did in 2008 so maybe he needed that number to go up.

Virginia is going to be so interesting to watch.

I am sitting on a boat on the island of Culebra, PR. I absentee voted....we are getting no coverage.........and of course we both voted for Obama!

I would expect no less. ;)

Interesting that FL is only about 8k difference, I smell this all dragging on in recounts.

Just so ya'll know, Gary Johnson is well over one thousand votes already. You republicans and democrats might as well pack up and plan to take a back seat for a few years.

CNN calls WV for Romney. :coffeepap

God I hope not. I have big plans for spiking the football.

Obama 52% - Romney 48% in FL with 1/4 reporting.

Miami, Tampa, and Orlando already part of the reporting for Florida with Obama up.

I'd love to see currently what the margins were in those areas in 2008 and now.

If Florida goes blue, this is the electoral equivalent of the Monday Night Football game between the Redskins and Eagles a few years back when the Eagles went up by 24 in the first quarter.....over before it really starts.

Not sure what the margins were, but they're democratic counties.

South Carolina to Romney.

Not really making any surprises here yet.
