So Obama's new meme is 'who can you trust?' - I think you need to understand the definition of the word 'trust.'
You don't 'trust' a burglar who breaks into your home to steal your stuff - you try to PREVENT the burglar, who you know does not have your interests at heart, from breaking into your house.
Trust implies mutual bonds - that both are working for the common interest. Obama can be counted on to govern like he campaigns - all in for one side. It is OK for a campaign to be partisan - that is the definition of the term - to win whatever goal you are campaigning for. But when the goal is the Presidency, when you WIN it, you should GOVERN like a president for all the people - not to use the power of your office to merely reward the people who voted for you and sow the seeds of divisiveness that will mold the direction of your NEXT campaign.
This president has been the most blatantly partisan president in my memory - which goes all the way back to Truman (I was too young to really remember FDR - only his death is in my personal memory.)
No Mr. President, we, as citizens, don't TRUST you at all - the only ones who have any interest in your re-election are your hired stooges and those directly dependent on the crumbs you toss them. Sort of like the 'president' of a third world country.
AND - what is this crap about REVENGE???
You have no reason to want revenge against Romney. He has never beaten you in an election. You may be mad that he doesn't have sealed divorce records that you can exploit in the final days of the campaign. You may be mad that he is such an honest, moral, successful man that your smears cannot find a means to attach to him. He hasn't monkeyed around with Michele. He hasn't defamed your character.
All Romney has done is challenge you for the presidency. It is what happens in America every four years. Yet you somehow find "revenge" an appropriate motivation for your minions. You should explain that, sir.
It is interesting that when you try to ad lib - you usually reveal some of the dark side of your inner self that the Teleprompter is supposed to protect you from letting out. You should stick to the teleprompter - or you should develop a pair "balls the size of cue balls" (in the elegant style of your VP) and be ready to speak from your heart.
You, Mr. President, are a failure of the highest magnitude. I cannot even grant you the benefit I gave Carter. Carter was incompetent - but I never thought he was PURPOSEFULLY trying to harm America. He just could not do any better.
YOU, on the other hand, lend credence to the notion that part of what motivates you is "bringing America down to size." I sincerely believe you have contempt for the American experience. Your 'fundamental change' you promised will be your legacy - you will be the first president to have openly worked for a reduced American presence in the world.
AND - in three more days, Michele can quit pretending that she is "proud to be an American."
