At 8:30 this morning BLS will release its monthly jobs report which has the potential to impact next Tuesday's election. If the report is good, Obama partisans will use it make the case for the president's reelection, and if it's bad Romney partisans will argue that it proves Obama's policies have failed. The press, of course, will eat this up and propogate whichever story line the numbers support.

This is a shame because these INITIAL reports are all but meaningless. They have an enormous margin of error which can and often does result in huge revisions (they are revised twice as more data comes in). The actual number could be as much as 100,000 higher or lower than initially reported.

ADP and Gallup have published some pretty good numbers for the economy (and thus Obama), but we shall see what the BLS bombshell delivers....

ADP has already revised their numbers for September

You're just pandering more Goebbels nonsense. Real Unemployment is 15%. 23 Million Americans out of work. Nearly 6 trillion in new debt added within 4 years.

Revisions to the way payroll data firm ADP counts private sector job creation have resulted in a sharp drop in the September employment count.

ADP’s new calculations put the monthly job creation at just 88,200, down from the 162,000 the firm originally reported earlier this month.

You are, as always, mistaken. ADP reported 158,000 new jobs last month. The 88k jobs number was from the previous month as revised by their new methodology. Friday Jobs Report Preview: October ADP Employment Numbers Show Unexpected Strength - Forbes

As usual, trying to explain statistics to a far right conservative is like trying to explain quantum mechanics to a hamster.
