Exclusive: Classified cable warned consulate couldn't withstand 'coordinated attack'

Re: Exclusive: Classified cable warned consulate couldn't withstand 'coordinated atta

Assange is not an American citizen, it is impossible for him to be disloyal. Fox on the other hand is suppose to be fair and balanced and informing all the (RWers) great Americans about what to think. I think Fox makes up a lot of stuff.

So does that mean that MSNBC tells you what to think? What a silly premise.

Re: Exclusive: Classified cable warned consulate couldn't withstand 'coordinated atta

Not much of a chance, I dont watch it. Really. Watch fox more. What throws you is I am not a mindless partisan hack. I think and have positions on both sides.

No, what throws me is that you can say this with a straight face....

There is a thread dealing with the cables, it's this one. Feel free to move over to one the MANY threads on the other if YOU want to. I'm staying right where I'm at. Deal with it.

Yeah...right? So the word is the cables show the administration ignored the danger and threat for 26 days, 4 people died, then they lied about it and covered it up. Repugnant to know the administration did that, isn't it?

Re: Exclusive: Classified cable warned consulate couldn't withstand 'coordinated atta

I really dont care what you think, just saying.

Absolutely, especially when they are on the stump with their closing argument ending in "trust"...

Re: Exclusive: Classified cable warned consulate couldn't withstand 'coordinated atta

That is why we are here. I guess.

Re: Exclusive: Classified cable warned consulate couldn't withstand 'coordinated atta

Wouldn't be the first time this administration has leaked classified info. The more interesting part is who is leaking this and why? The plot be thickening.....

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel lashed out at Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif, this morning on “This Week” after the chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee posted sensitive State Department cables relating to Libya online that “compromised the identities of several Libyans working with the U.S. government” according to Foreign Policy. Emanuel called Issa’s actions “reckless” and said that they “put people at risk in Libya.”

More here.

Ah another conservative that doesn't care that classified information was released to Fox News as long as it hurts Obama.

Another "Progressive" Obamabot who doesn't care that his administration let 4 Americans including a US Ambassador die during a TERRORIST ATTACK and someone watched it on live TV and still did nothing to help.

NOTHING!!!!

A very good question was posed on that horrible network FOX last night. We have seen pictures of the President and his staff in the Situation Room during the Bin Laden raid and even during the Super Storm formerly known as Hurricane Sandy, but where is the picture of him or of anyone else during the terrorist attack on the US Consulate? Just asking, you don't need to answer, he was packing for his trip to Las Vegas while all that was going on.

Bottom line for me, i'm Australian and i feel i can look at this without trying to "make excuses" for the Obama Administration or to use it as an excuse to be critical of them. It is what it is.

The way Americans were informed about the attack was mishandled, at best. At worst, there was a cover-up to protect political interests or to conceal poor decisions or a lack of communication. This event raises serious questions about the communication between the State Department, intelligence agencies and the White House. If there was a deliberate cover-up, the ones responsible should be held accountable.

Democrats have consistently criticized Bush for a lack of truthfulness when he claimed weapons of mass destruction as the basis for war in Iraq. In those criticisms the party established its own moral high ground when discussing matters of foreign policy and national security. Obama and his supporters need to apply that standard to themselves as they did to the previous president. There’s no room for political gamesmanship here. ALL Americans deserve the truth, and in a timely manner, from their president and his Cabinet at all times.

Hey Serenity, how's it been, long time no see....Anyway, come now. Are we to actually believe that Emmanual, or any of the Obama team cares one whit about compromising identities of anyone? Remember this?

The doctor who helped the CIA find Osama bin Laden has been sentenced to 33 years in jail. But perhaps US-Pakistan relations have fallen so low that the US doesn't care anymore.

Pakistan jails doctor who helped find bin Laden: why the US may not intervene - CSMonitor.com

So, Obama and company doesn't give a crap as long as Barry and Joe can get on the trail and crow about giving the order to kill OBL, meanwhile a source in Pakistan sits in jail with no help from us, but don't make Obama look bad for turning his back on fellow Americans, and leaving them to die. It makes me sick!

Re: Exclusive: Classified cable warned consulate couldn't withstand 'coordinated atta

Hackery is approving of classified information being leaked as long as it hurts an opponent. You've demonstrated that hackery in your comments quite clearly.

No, classified data shouldn't be released, but it has been. This just goes to show the lack of leadership going on up there, and the result of finger pointing going on among the departments involved. It's a total ****up.

The bottom line was, and still is, that we won't know what really happened until a full investigation is completed. It appears that the main reason information has been slow in coming is that the CIA is wrapped up in this. The main presence in Benghazi was CIA and a signficant part of the security arrangement involved an off-the-record arrangement with the CIA. That is going to make the investigation complicated, to say the least. Too early to draw any conclusions, but General Petraeus isn't looking too good on this, at least on the surface.

I suggest you all read this WSJ article from today, which puts things in better perspective: CIA Takes Heat for Role in Libya - WSJ.com
