Prediction time.

Nevada, Montana, Colorado, New Mexico, Minnesota, Missouri, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida.

Which candidate do you think will win what swing states, and why?

Check the polls.

Montana, Missouri, and Indiana and in the bag for Romney. North Carolina too, unless Obama wins a lot bigger than anyone expects.

New Mexico, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and Vermont are in the bag for Obama.

Virginia is virtually tied while Obama has a significant lead in Ohio and Romney has a small lead in Florida.

Some of those arent even swing states. Montana and indiana will go romney. Vermont and NM will go obama.

Wrong.

Virginia will go for Romney over Bengazi. The military is getting pissed. Ohio is leaning toward Obama, slightly. So is Minnesota, Michigan, Nevada and Pennsylvania. Wisconsin is up for grabs now. So is Iowa.

The polls don't mean much anymore. Its a ground game. The fowl weather took away Obama's ground game advantage in many states, while it gave the Prez a Look-good advantage, neutralizing each other out.

There also are potential wildcards in domestic and world events. It ain't over until it's over.

I know that others feel differently, but IMO one's opinion on these matters should be guided by the polls. You can ask someone's opinion regarding the cubic volume of a box, but if you happen to know the height, depth, and width ... I'm going with the geometry answer.

Using what Silver says and some others. I say Romney will take Florida, Virginia and Colorado. Obama will win, Iowa, Nev, NH, Nevada. These are the only "swing" states currently on most sites that I know of
