Is this kind of thing why the gender gap is narrowing? Or do some of you think this is a good thing?

The new "Lose your voter virginity to Obama" ad:

The text:
Your first time shouldn't be with just anybody. You wanna do it with a greatguy. It should be with a guy with beautiful--someone who really cares andunderstands women. A guy who cares whether you get health insurance, specificallywhether you get birth control.

The consequences are huge. You wanna do it with a guy who brought the troopsout of Iraq. You don't wanna guy who says 'Oh hey I'm at the library studying,' when reallyhe's out not signing the Lilly Ledbetter Act. Or who thinks that gay peopleshould never have beautiful, complicated weddings like the kind we see on Bravoor TLC all the time.

It's a fun game to say 'Who are you voting for?' and they say 'I don't wannatell you,' and you say 'No, who are you voting for?' and they go 'Guess!'

Think about how you wanna spend those four years. In college-age time, that's150 years.

It's also super uncool to be out and about and somebody says 'Did you vote?'and you go 'No, I didn't vote, I wasn't ready.'

My first time voting was amazing. It was this line in the sand. Before, I was agirl, now I was a woman.' I went to the polling station. I pulled back thecurtain. I voted for Barack Obama!

I thought the ad was tacky. If that kind of ad had played when I voted the first time at age 19 I would have been insulted that the SuperPAC/campaign thought it was the best way to reach me.

while many tv commercials abuse the female sexuality ,this news is not surprising

It's the 'President Kardashian' syndrome.

News flash to President Obama and the Democrats: Most women are not one dimensional voters and they care about bigger issues than whether the government will make somebody buy their contraceptives for them. Most women know that it is bad for women for the country to be under more and more crushing debt, for almost half the work force to be out of work, for homeowners to lose substantial value from their homes or be underwater on their loans, for there to be no jobs waiting for graduating college students, for reduced wages and reduced net worth of so many Americans to be further exacerbated by inflation that is becoming noticable to all of us despite denials by our current government in power.

And I think most women will be voting those more important issues when they pull back that curtain to the voting booth.

Women like the one in the video are an embarassment to most of us.
