What is up with undecided voters.Make up your flakey minds.

That's a big overgeneralization. Although I am not a Republican, I am going to vote Romney because I believe that his ideas will work. I'm willing to give him a chance. The current President, IMO, has squandered his four-year window of opportunity.

I know that this is off topic, but exactly what are his ideas that will work?

The one about increasing the tax rate on the 47%? The one about more millitary spending? The one about decreasing the tax rate on the rich? The one where he claims that he will not change the average effective tax rate of any income bracket? The one where he is going to have a $10k "bucket" of tax deductions? Or the one where he has a $15k bucket of tax deductions? Or the one where he has a $25k bucket of tax deductions? Or the one where he wants to exactly continue Obama's foreign policy? Or is it the one where he invented Romney Care, but wants to repeal Obama Care? Or is it the one where he promised that all US troops would be out of Afganistant by 2014 (the exact same promise that Obama has made)?

I really don't see much of a difference. Can you tell me the specifics about any of his plans?

LOL!!

Fair enough...I apologize...though, from my perspective, you are still a youngster.

Anyway, my point about adults still stands.

I am a product of the 70's and never got married. That keeps you liberal and young thinking I guess.

I don't mean to insult anybody but you should know where you stand as a liberal or conservative and if you don't I am willing to say you don,t know much about politics.

I believe that people who are willing to buy into all the policies of the left or the right are the ones that most likely don't know much about politics. They let a party platform do their thinking for them...

"Oh, how do I stand on that issue? Give me just one second while I look up my position."

Absolutely. Straight party ticket voters are bad for America and should just stay home, IMO.

Why is it wishy washy?......maybe there will be some major "aha" moment between now and Nov 6th.....LOL....nothing wrong with people waiting until they have been hit with EVERYTHING the far lefts and far rights have to throw at them.

Liberal or conservative my friend. Just think what a pain that wishy wasy girlfriend you had was. We have to pick a side and stick with it to have a political foundation. Yes I do agree with the conservatives on a very few things. I don't believe we should spend ourselves into ruin but I say we should cut the milatary instead of social programs. I believe in freedom as the conservative say they are but I believe in legalizing pot and gay marriage and the conservatives are not into that type of freedom.

Mine are memorized.

All I can say is if McCain had won (yep I voted McCain) I seriously doubt he could have done better in this recession. I will give Obama credit for keeping us afloat (barely) despite all the hurdles thrown at him before and during his presidency. There are things he has done that I don't like but I won't say he has done nothing good for this country.

Not all Democrats are liberals and not all Republicans are conservatives. In fact, most from each party are in the middle.

LOL....your comment is right up there with th eones who say 3rd party voters are wasting a vote.

How so? Most straight party ticket voters vote without educating themselves on the candidates. It's a fact, and they should just stay home.

Men can be wishy washy too.

I did not mean to sound sexist. Of course you are right. I have seen and worked for some of the most wishy washy guys you would ever want to meet.

If that was true then how come we have so much bickering and grid lock right no? The GOP has swung to the right of Franco and the dem's have swung to the left of Castro. It makes for great debate in the news channels but it sucks when it comes to getting anyrthing done.

I have to say the right is far more guilty of doing the thinking for you. Just look at the contract with America in the 90's and the tax pledge in the current house and senate plus you have the filters of patriotism,Jesus freaks and their unreal need to return us to the so called good old days of moral America. Liberals by nature are more open minded and accept change. Yes there are some dem's who are conservative and the liberals accept them better that the right does with liberal GOP candidates.

I like people to know where they stand. Liberal or conservative. By the time we reach adulthood we should have the common sense to know where we stand on the issues. I am not saying we can not have both liberal and conservative views but good god know where you stand. This waiting to the last second just tells me you don't know squat about politics.
Only 10% of the public is liberal and about the same percentage of the public is conservative, with about 5% total spread between the left of liberal and the right of conservative and schizoid concoctions of the two.

That leaves about 75% of Americans in the "silent majority" category bunched up at the center of the political spectrum.

Of the six parties fielding candidates for President this election, all parties are either at liberal or the left of liberal or conservative or to the right of conservative in their philosophical orientation (Libertarian being schizoidly liberal and conservative (on social and economic-fiscal issues respectively) at the same time).

Thus the great majority of Americans have no party to represent them.

So they have to do what they always do: choose the lesser of two evils .. and often they have to hold their nose to vote for the lesser evil.

The minor four parties, being either to the left of liberal or right of conservative or schizoidly both, they're obviously too extreme, and thus they get weeded out more easily.

That means most centrists have to choose between the liberal Dems and conservative Repubs.

The process of making that choice is a lot more involved than a liberal (or a conservative) might think. It's difficult to tell for many centrists whether the liberal or the conservative is the lesser of the evils.

This year, for this centrist, it's pretty clear that Romney is the lesser of the two evils, and considerably so. That's not to say that Romney's good at all. That's just to say that Obama is much worse.

But if we had a centrist political party, then a lot less people would be undecided, as liberals would vote for liberals, disgruntled liberals would vote for left-of-liberal tickets, conservatives would vote for conservaties, disgruntled conservatives would vote for right of-conservative tickets, and centrists would vote for centrists.

A adult should know where they stand. The number I saw is 70% vote for one or another of the policial parties and 30% don't know their ass from a hot rock.

Underneath your avatar it reads "very liberal".

Thus your perspective here is understandable, and I would guess this may be the one perspective you hold that agrees with someone whose lean is "very conservative".
