A case for the President.

I am not going to sit here and act like my side is winning the debate to get the President re-elected this year. I say to my conservative friends that your guess is as good as mine. I think the time for talking trash is over so here is my case for re-electing Barac Obama.

In the 80's this country took a turn for the worse as far as the power of labor being deminished and the power of corporations and the very wealthy increasing. It became fashionable to drug test,lay off by the thousands to protect the bottom line and treat workers like the robber barons of the late 1800's did before the anti trust laws.American business had declaired was on the American worker and Barac Obama is the first President to fight that trend thus his unpopularity with the 1%.

I must ask as far as the economy goes just how much better would a GOP president have done in the same situation that Obama inherited. I say not much better if at all and nothing at all would have been done or tried to correct the power of corporate America and nobody would have said a word against the immoral outsourcing of American jobs. At least Obama calls them out for it. You know the GOP and their hands off attitude towards business would have done nothing.

In spite of the fake outrages the conservative have tried to trump up against the President and the fact the right has sabataged everything they could to prevent the President any victories the President indead has had several great accomplishments and would have had more if we did not have the GOP fighting everything even if they once supported it. It is a wonder the President is still in this race but I think he deserves four more years.

Don't you think that much of what we read here is faux outrage at the other side? I do. I mean, how much fun with Debate Politics be if we all agreed? "Your guy did this!!!" "Yeah, but YOUR guy did THAT!!!"

Here's the only thing I know for sure: No matter who gets elected, America will be just fine. Neither one of the candidates is going to have a majority in both houses, so all is well.

I agree with checks and balence but the tactics of the right over the last four years has been an outrage. Their block everything at all cost even if they disagree with it has been an outrage in my opinion. I hope you are right about the power being split. Maybe both sides can end their war with the other.

maybe, Maggie. But I have serious concerns about a second obama term during which he does not have to worry about anothe election or pleasing his base.

Here's my bet----If obama gets reelected, some time in 2014 he will call a press conference and say that he has been struggling with this for years and he has decided to return to his muslim roots and return to the practice of Islam. He will shortly thereafter introduce a bill making sharia law applicable in the US. The liberals will say "oh, its not big deal" until the women are told to put on abayas when leaving the house and that they can no longer drive or be seen in public without a husband or male member of their family.

No my friend I am right. The attitude of American business towards its workers has gone downhill big time. I don't know how old you are my friend but when I went into the workforce in 1976 there used to be this thing called loyality and it came from employers and employees and that is gone. When the conservatives and moderate dem's let business run amok in the 80's and 90's we have all paid the price and our standard of living has gone down. Barak Obama has fought that trend. Yes the conservatives have fought the President on everything and you know that to be true. I sir am not wrong. The right has sold this country down the river because of their love affair with big business.

When did Harry Reid join the GOP? He is the one that has been blocking everything. Where have you been?

sort of kidding, but I really think he could make the muslim announcement. of course, congress would never go along with sharia law, but I would like to see Pelosi covered in a black abaya.

old testament law is nor practiced anywhere in the world today. Sharia law is the law of many nations. not a valid analogy, dude.

It is practiced in Kansas,Oklahoma,Miss and all thru the bible belt. If it was not for the court system the rednecks would be running amok and you know it. Just see how long you sit in jail if they catch you with pot in those states.

lay off by the thousands to protect the bottom line - should a corporation NOT lay off by the thousands if the alternative is that their bottom line ends up in the crapper?

treat workers like the robber barons of the late 1800's did - sounds nasty...got a link or two to back it up?

declaired was on the American worker - again, got a link?

immoral outsourcing of American jobs - please explain what morals you have that justify this statement.

fake outrages - any outrages toward a President who only wants to increase taxes and increase spending are not fake. They are justified.

sabataged everything they could to prevent the President any victories - they haven't. They've only done as much as they can to prevent further damage to the country. They haven't been entirely successful.

All of the above is trash talking with a bit of hyperbole thrown in for good measure. None of it has any basis in fact.

you said that employers do not care about their workers. I would like to see some proof of your claim. Are the auto workers in the non-union factories in the south better or worse off than the union auto workers in Detroit? Do you have any idea? have you checked? If you do you will find that they have wages and benefits equal or better than the union guys, and they don't have to pay union dues.

Do yourself a favor and spend the next hour reading about the latest Libya developments, and the emails that have been made public. Review the timeline of events, and how Obama got the intel in virtual real time from the drone that was dispatched to the area. Then continue to defend his lies.

Treason I say. He was arming an al queda affilliate in Syria, brokered by the American Ambassador Stevens, and when it went bad, he had to cover it up.

The attack in Libya lasted 7 hours my friend, and a Special Forces Halo unit could have been dispatched within 1 hour. Ask your precious man child Obama why it wasn't. Ask your messiah in chief why he chose to do nothing about the attack that lasted 7 hours, when he knew about the attack 40 minutes into it. Ask him why his administration spent 2 weeks blaming a video, when in the first hour of the attack, the Al Queda affilliate was claiming responsibility. Ask yourself these questions my friend. Ask yourself why he would lie about it. Then ask yourself why Biden told the American people, "we weren't told anything", "we didn't know anything", when in fact, they were told, and they freakin watched the attack unfold via a satellite feed from a drone THEY SENT THERE!!!

Time to put your finger in your throat and get rid of that koolaide you drank back in 08. Man's a liar, and it's being proven as we speak.

Perhaps part of that has to do with factory workers who feel entitled to have wages that support their 3 cars and a McMansion and damned be the consequences of what that does to the business.

What you don't yet understand is how abhorrent Obama was from day one. His inflated adulation, lack of experience, his shady associates (from criminals to convicted felons, islamists, Communists, Black revoluntionaries, the notorious Rev. Jeremiah Wright, terrorist bill ayers and assorted other anarchists) and the dearth of information about his background.

And who could forget about the bill he tried to bulldoze through the Senate called the Gllobal Poverty Act, which would have used tax dollars to give to the UN to redistribute to third world countries. That would have told the whole story to those of you who weren't under the spell of your Messiah. .And, by the way, it jibes with the conclusions from Dinesh D'Souza's film, 2016: Obama's America.

He has been objectionable from BEFORE he was sworn in.

Many of you just love the kind of feces he spewed so you are STILL puzzled about why there is so much 'faux outrage' about him.

Wake the fxxk up!

The outrage has been there all along.
