Romney's campaign says he still supports Mourdock - Yahoo! News

Republican Mitt Romney's campaign says he still supports Indiana Senate candidate Richard Mourdock after Mourdock said "God intended" pregnancies that result from rape. The campaign has not asked Mourdock to pull a TV ad featuring Romney.

Anyone who cares out our Supreme Court should be very concerned. This is EXACTLY the type of person who Romney would appoint to what is already a sensitive balance on the court. If you care about the Supreme Court falling into the hands of Right-wing extremeists...then you should not vote for Romney

Why should Romney pull his endorsement? To agree there is no God?

Same nonsense carried over to another thread. You made partisan and false statements in the last one, got caught, fled, and now we have a new thread.

Justices have to retire (or die) before a POTUS can appoint someone. That someone still has to make it through the senate. This is just more silly partisan crap.

Why should Romney pull his endorsement? To agree there is no God?

Perhaps to agree that God doesn't endorse rape pregnancies. Or I don't know, maybe he should also come out in favor of pedophilia, since God obviously allows it to go on.

God is not pro-abortion, disneydude. You liberals need to get that through your heads.

Just read the OP article:

Romney campaign spokeswoman Andrea Saul said Wednesday that Romney disagrees with Mourdock's opposition to abortion in cases of rape and incest. But she says Romney still supports Mourdock's bid.

Perhaps to show that he does not believe in the extreme right-wing of the party....but oops....he doesn't want to do that....he wants to play Extremely/Severely conservative Mitt and Moderate Mitt at the same time.

This is the type of person you would expect to see in a Romney cabinet or a Romney Supreme Court. America should be VERY afraid.

Wrong.....go back and check the other thread...you know the one you claimed that the GOP didn't have a pro-life, no exception statement in their platform? I provided it for you.

Just read the OP article:

Yeah, that's what he says this week. A few months ago, however Romney (a/k/a Flip Flopney) said he would be "delighted" to sign a bill banning all abortion.

Just read the OP article:

Which Mitt disagrees? The Moderate Mitt or the Severely Conservative Mitt? Mitt isn't exactly known for having principles that he stands by. His etch-a-sketch might tell him something different tomorrow. Remember...this is the same Mitt who has flip flopped on Abortion rights several times himself.

Mourdock never said "God endorses rape pregnancies." He said pregnancies resulting from rape are what God intended. He's clearly evangelical Christian who operates under the notion that everything that happens, good and bad, is part of God's plan. This is the view that evangelicals have had for decades. Not sure why this is so "shocking" now. Well, nevermind, I exactly why. Its BS faux outrage.

Oh, thanks for clearing that up. :lamo

would you please offer a cite showing where he said that

And you were wrong. You tried to get there, but it wasn't there as you expected. There is no language remotely saying no exceptions.

Pay attention clownboy. Have you even been following along? The platform committee removed all exceptions from the platform and it was ratified. The GOP platform calls for ZERO EXCEPTIONS to abortion....not rape, not incest, not the life of the mother.....ZERO!

Thank, God, The President Romney and the GOP super majority in both Houses are going to pack the Court with a dozen new justices, all young Tea Party folks like Eric Cantor :)

Then you should have no problem quoting where in the platform it says no exceptions. Bothers you to get caught in a partisan lie doesn't it?

Nor is God pro-rape.
Very good. Now explain why God would promote murder after a rape has occurred. The answer is, He doesn't. The consequences are, God will punish the rapist and He will also punish the murderer. Best scenario would then be to let the unborn live and leave the rapist to Judgement.

Dude....you are asking me to prove a negative. Perhaps you should show where in the platform it provides for exceptions....or better yet....do some legistlative research, you will see that there were exceptions proposed and which have been included in the GOP platform before, which have now been eliminated by the GOP today. But....that would require you to pay attention and that might be asking a bit much.

Where does it indicate in the Bible that God considers abortion to be murder? Can you cite me the book and verse please?

would you please offer a cite showing where he said that
Abortion is Murder; Murder is a violation of the same Commandment the Almighty burned on a stone tablet with his own power.

Constitution doesn't say that sorry. We aren't a theocracy anyways..go thump somewhere else please.

Thoughtful, but pointless. We're discussing the Divine's stance on abortion, not the Founding Fathers'. The Constitution is whole different debate.
