Who Won The Foreign Policy Debate, 22 Oct 2012?

Who won the debate?

Romney looked presidential. He looked like the incumbent.

Obama was small and petty with his pre-written zingers ("the 80s called and want their foreign policy back", really Mr. President? What are you, 15?).

Though folks like me would have enjoyed watching Romney drill Obama on his repeated failures, he chose to pass. People already know anyway, and this is going to be decided on three economy anyway.

Women and independents were likely reassured with his calmness since he's going to be the new guy next to the button.

Last night changed nothing, which suited Romney just fine.

Romney sewed it up last night as long as he doesn't go on a bender in the next two weeks.

Agreed. And many saw in their President a child, when he responded to a very important question about the Navy:

Obama -- “You mentioned the Navy, for example, and that we have fewer ships than we did in 1916. Well, Governor, we also have fewer horses and bayonets, because the nature of our military’s changed. We have these things called aircraft carriers, where planes land on them. We have these ships that go underwater, nuclear submarines.”

Dunno.

But I know who lost.

Considering the two candidates are both drone-bombing happy, military industrial complex lackey's who spend near-insane amounts of money on empire building (yes folks, when a country has military personnel in 130 nations and 900 overseas bases...that's an empire)?

America lost.

You are simply just ignorant and flat out unpatriotic. Why dont you just move to another country and pray for the security and opportunity that America provides you. People like you are what are destroying this country.

So....it's unpatriotic to believe that the two major candidates are bad for America?

Okaaaaay.

I watched a bit of it...Obama was clearly the better of the two for one reason. Romney flipped on his own stance again...I have zero respect for this guy and anyone who believes in his rhetoric is hopelessly ignorant.

Obama I already didn't believe in, but Romney just sealed it for me....They both are clowns.

Admit it, you've fallen for Obama, like a lot of a certain type of libertarian.

Uh...No

I'm not voting for either...I just call what I see. Both are terrible for the country. Honestly, you right wingers are ridiculous with your asinine accusations

How can Obuma be called the winner when most of his points were lies?

Peace, commerce and honest friendship with all nations; entangling alliances with none. – Thomas Jefferson
They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. – Benjamin Franklin

Thats a Libertarian view and why we need to get all those Reps and Dems out of government

Couldn't agree more....I follow those views big time.

Honestly, the only reason I say Obama "won" was because he stuck to his original lies instead of going against lies he said a few weeks ago like Romney.

People who actually believe these two really amaze me.

First of all speaking with such disrespect and hate towards your own country is unpatriotic, yes. Claiming that America is "empire building", "drone happy" is just flat out ignorant. We utilize military capabilities to protect the citizens of our country, and the innocent civilians of other nations, hence the definition of government. And in the Constitution of the United States. This technology has allowed us to kill known terrorist, which has saved many American lives (there has not been another attack on our country since 9/11). Regardless of party affiliation, to speak of the effort by the US gov't to kill known threats and protect American lives with minimal civilian casualties and invasive military strategies is unpatriotic!

I see you are one of those types that puts words in people's mouths.

I never said I hate anyone and I never said anything about disrespecting the country...just the leaders of it's two major parties.

And your trained minion-speak is sad in the extremis.

What a waste of my time you are.

Have a nice day.
