Devil you know or don't know

I have not been a Romney enthusiast. In fact, and as somebody who has been politically active one way or another since my elementary school days, I debated for many months whether, for the first time in my life, I would be forced not to vote at all. I emphatically did not support Romney in the primaries.

But I believe with all my heart that this may be the most important election of our lifetimes. We stand on the precipice as a nation. I am going to vote for Romney not only because I am ABO, but also because I have listened to what Romney has had to say in the debates. I compare his record to his opponent and see that he has measurable successes, and think he may actually have a plan that might work.

Obama has had a term. He has not accomplished his stated goals, and make all the excuses you please, this is a fact. Recall Obama's own statement that if he didn't accomplish his goals, his Presidency would be one term.

I think it should be. He has not accomplished his goals. There is no indication at all that, given another four years, he will. I am now ready to give the devil I don't know a chance. Obama has had his, and he has failed.

This is a tough one because usually I hear from Romney supporters that they didn't like what he HAS accomplished. Obamacare, gays in the military and whatnot... you are saying he hasn't accomplished enough... would you vote for Obama had he accomplished more of what he intended to?

Notice the "free market capitalist...what this country was built on" from my post. "The Daily Show?" Gosh, he made an appearance on another tough venue? Let's hope the kids on Nickelodian don't beat him up too bad.

You do know that Romney ran away in fear from "the View" AND Nickelodian kids right? lol

And if you want to get into "free market capitalism" we'll have to take it to another thread being that it is a generalized bull**** title that doesn't actually mean anything. At least it doesn't mean anything near what it's proponents generally think it does.

Which are testaments to his smarts.....

Ummm...

I don't think I'll ask you why you have to take a shower. You might tell me you had an orgasm or something.

We agreed on something... I feel dirty... and definitely not in a sexual way.

I honestly don't think that Romney has any "real" positions on the issues. He's pure ego. He'll say or do whatever he thinks is necessary to scrawl "POTUS" on his bucket list.

Not worth his time and not intelligent enough to vote...you can interchange this with either of the above groups.

On women, taxes, Hispanics, Romney primary message shifts as Election Day nears

Don't know about left.. I think i would've been more accurate in saying that he is definitely moving TO the left. WAaayyyyy left of when he said he was "severely conservative" during the primary.

I've followed Romney pretty close through the primaries and although he wasn't my first choice I will vote for him. Two things that surprised me about him during the primaries was his hard stance on immigration which he didn't need to get the nomination and refusing the deal during one debate to accept $10 in cuts for every $1 in tax increases. I think he has been correct in softening on immigration and I think he is pragmatic enough to work out a bipartisan deal to address the deficit while dramatically improving the economy.
Most presidential candidates move to the center once they get the nomination. I really haven't seen any change in his policies regarding women.

Moderate Massachusetts Romney vs Obama? I'd take Romney

Very conservative primary Romney vs Obama? I'd take Romney

Standard fare republican candidate Romney vs Obama? I'd take Romney

I may not know which "devil" I'm getting in Romney, but I like all of them better than the current devil

IMO, that was a Smart move, Why appear against a stacked Deck, on national TV- on a show that is 98% for your opponent"
nothing he said would have made a difference to the View ladies, they Just wanted the ratings' of his appearance'

Keep this in mind next time Obama runs from Fox. Why appear against a stacked deck?
