Is this some sort of a commune?

Then people get bent when Obamy is called a communist?

Has the US become a commune Barry?

This is certainly a battle over collectivism vs individualism.

Obama can be expected to use it. Why did Romney use it when he insisted his tax plan wouldn't cut rates for "those who pay 60%"?

They both used the word fair a lot. Perhaps some sort of protection for american workers from cheap labor overseas. holding american companies like Apple responsible for paying taes on their profits overseas, and their outsourcing of jobs and screwing over american workers. Perhaps the ability to go to school and not be crippled by loans afterwards. Equal taxes for all.

You know all the things that kept others down while keeping mitt Romney on top despite his clear lack of any special abilities or skills.

I don't have a problem with "fair share" but at the same time 47% don't pay taxes and leech off of those that do....

I don't see how anyone can point fingers at those who do pay taxes and say "no fair" when they - themselves - don't pay any taxes....

Those who benefit from these social programs at the state and local level DONT pay taxes....

You're a libertarian. Act like it.

It's liberal (i.e. progressive) nonsense. It simply means they want to soak the 'rich' in order to buy more votes. It has nothing to do with the economy, the government or the constitution.

I am and I do - I fully support the Tenth Amendment. Many of the issues brought up into the debate are state issues - not federal issues.

As a libertarian it is my philosophy that many of these issues don't concern the federal government....

So you ought to be disgusted with Romney's implication that he'd raise taxes on that 47%.

In an ideal world, 100% of people would pay no taxes.

And most voters are idiots and it is their opinion that decides the direction this country is headed.

I'm a libertarian, but at the same time I totally support fiscal conservatism. I'm certainly not part of the "spend now and worry how to pay for it later" crowed. As an individual it's not my kids responsibility to payoff the US debt - or pay for the social programs that are going today.

I agree, I nominated Ron Paul.... But it is what it is and I'm not going to waste my vote on Johnson - he has no chance and I have an opportunity to vote Barry out.... So.... I don't support Romney I just want Obama out of office because he (economically) represents everything I'm opposed.

Ah, 'fusionism'. The same non-logic that's made libertarianism subservient to conservatism for the past six decades.

I hopped off that boat a long time ago. Maybe you will too, someday.
