Stacey Dash’s Pro-Romney Tweet Becomes Racial Flashpoint

Nuh uh, silly....Everyone knows that when it rains that is George Bush's fault...:)

As long as you recognize who's fault it is. :2razz:

I must admit, good question, until I thought about it a bit...There are several reasons that the two are not the same...

1. The obvious reason is that it would be liberals wrongly categorizing TP'ers as racist, and not other TP'ers doing such to their own as it is in this case. Ms. Dash, came out in support of Romney, and was accused by liberals, and other blacks as being some sort of race traitor for such.

2. This is not the only case of Conservative, or Conservative supporting blacks being portrayed as such by liberals whom think that all black people should be liberal democrats period.

3. The slander against the TP as racist was revealed as such a joke due to either liberal infiltrators at events, or completely out of context things said that the two should be miles apart when held up next to each other....

I don't think there can be "infiltrators" to a public event. I thought the whole idea of the TP was "inclusive."

Besides which, if you read the tweets in the article you posted, they are mostly saying that it's a bad thing to attack her for it.

Sandra Fluke@SandraFluke
So disappointed to see people attacking @REALStaceyDash for voicing her opinion. Disagree politically, but #racist attacks are unacceptable.

Booker Rising@BookerRising
Actress @REALStaceyDash has endorsed Romney. Some black liberals are clowning her. Folks, this is USA & not USSR

Bobby Broadway@BobbyBroad
I may disagree with @REALStaceyDash decision on who she supports in presidential race. But no need to call her an indoor slave or a jiggaboo

If we accept that Sandra Fluke is THE Sandra Fluke, and that the others are Liberals, this is not widespread racially based condemnation of Ms. Dash.

Ok, I want to see how serious you are here...I will say this...In my OP I generalized when I shouldn't have. I did such not out of malice, but more in the zeal to get the story posted, and start the conversation, and could have worded it better. How about this...

Question: Stacy Dash tweeted that she supports Romney in the upcoming election. She was immediately attacked on Twitter, by other black democrats, and liberals as being a race traitor, and worse. Although this is not endemic of all liberal progressive democrats, it is a troubling response to 1st amendment speech in this country. Can anyone show me a response where say white voters that came out in favor of Barrack Obama were attacked openly with such vitriol by Conservative republican whites?

Is that better? :peace

That's a much better wording. Liberals are no more perfect than Conservatives. Some of them are idiots, to be honest. Anybody who does not support Ms. Dash's right to her own opinion is one of them. Now I can't say that I've been called a "traitor to my race" for voting for Obama, but I have been accused of being a socialist and a Nazi by Conservatives (on this very site). Some of whom were probably white. That's equally stupid, IMO.

BTW, who is Stacey Dash, and why does anybody care who she's voting for?

I agree, all liberals can't be painted with the racism of some. And you acknowledge the same is true of conservatives. The problem here is that is the goto move for liberals on this and other forums - paint all conservatives for the racism of a few. It's a time-honored liberal tactic and they act like wet cats when it's applied to them.

Stacey Dash made her debut in Clueless and is one of the most beautiful faces in Hollywood. She's also pretty damn smart (classically speaking). And ordinarily I wouldn't care who she votes for, but the issue that highlights her is in the OP.

So you admit that it is being applied to them [liberals]?:)

In reality she made her debut in TV 13 tears before "Clueless" and her movie debut 7 years before the same movie. Guess your bid to be president of the fan club isn't going to be too successful.

I'm fine with pointing out that conservative actors, including conservative African Americans often get the shaft based on identity politics, but need we remind ourselves that this is twitter-another mechanism for the lowest of the low to communicate with the rich, powerful, and famous? The internet is the single worst place for human decency, allowing the masses to showcase their viciousness without consequence.

What happened to this lady is outrageous and just goes to show how racist and bigoted the left is.

Your first part of your statement is spot on.

Your second part is ridiculous.

How is the actions of a handful of people proof that "The left" is "racist and bigoted"?

Does racist acts done by a handful of people on the right prove that "The Right" is "racist and bigoted"?

Do a handful of racist tweets from Bostonians towards a black sports player prove that "Bostonians" are "racist and bigoted"?

At best, what this goes to show is that some people on the left can be absolutely racist and bigoted. However, since you also had people on the left...such as Sandra Fluke for instance...condemning these comments it's not exaclty accurate nor realistic to suggest that this is what "the left" is as some kind of whole sale group

That is looking at it darkly. There are a lot more good things about the internet than there are bad.

I like the idea of giving the pissants a voice to be heard around the world.

I fear no evil.

Yeah, well there goes my membership. Does it matter?

Just shows how superficial your adoration of her is. If she supported Obama you would be dissing her the same as most conservatives do the overwhelming majority of celebs who are liberal.

Duh! Isn't that what I just said? I also said:

But your blinders tend to block out that part.

You cons are copy cats. Can't you have an original tactic without swiping it from the liberals?:)

You're talking to the wrong guy there. I don't hold her up as some paragon. But in my eye she is beautiful and I know from reading in the past that she is also quite intelligent. But I don't care who she supports or doesn't. There are a lot of Hollywood supporters of Obama who are also quite beautiful looking and intelligent.

You're talking to the man in the mirror again. I'm not near the level of partisan you've achieved.

Well, so far we have you supporting a celebrity because of her political views and me taking the stance I don't care what any of them say. I can see how that translates to me being the more partisan of the two of us in your skewed logic. Everything you post is pure GOP/TP party line. You aren't fooling anyone with that "other".

That's funny, and of course you can't see it - your partisan blind spot doesn't allow you to. Quite a few of my posts are far from supporting the GOP line.

As for "supporting" Stacy dash - I merely responded to the inaccuracies regarding her intelligence and physical beauty spewed by the Obamabots here. And noted how hilarious it is to watch the liberals implode when they get their hand caught in the cookie jar (after years of making fun of conservatives for it).

Yet none of the conservatives or "others" here would touch my confirmation that officials in the GOP have posted racist images of Obama. How is that double standard and supposed impartiality working for you now?

Ok, one nut job in CA. that everyone of any prominence in CA. has distanced themselves from, and called for her to step down. That it? Because then you obviously would have a problem with this photo then right?

Read more online newspaper article comments, watch youtube videos and their comments, and check out the twitter feeds.

The internet has more vile political commentary than any advertising campaign could have hoped for.

Oh, so now it's 'extremists'? That would be, racists exist not only on both sides of the political isle, but in all races as well.
