I don't know what Meathead was getting at, but I agree with him...for my own reasons. I think it's quite possible for the U.S. to have a President with the "sensibilities" of Snoopy in the not-too-distant future.

Consider this: Back in the 50's and into the early 60's there was no "liberal" in the sense that we have today. My opinion is that current liberals are a direct result of the Hippie Generation. Now, back in to 60's the hippies didn't have a lot of political pull...but they grew up. The result is the liberals that are causing our country so much grief today.

So now...we have a...I don't know what you call it...a generation that has the sensibilities of Snoopy. That generation will grow up. So, instead of a liberal like Obama, we are going to have an establishment "gangsta" for a President.

Luckily, I'll probably be dead by then.

See I just don't even smirk. There's nothing funny in either of those, to me. I don't get it. Black guys like a fat ass. I don't know what kind of horses Romney owns and I don't care. So, w/e, if that's your humor then enjoy.

While we obviously agree, I thought this lead-in was a bit disingenuous. Obviously, one tries to soften the "blow" so as to avoid implying people are somehow substandard until it is perfectly clear, as I did. I gave him several chances, but he declined. I still don't know whether he was being deliberately obtuse or had was challenged in some way. His reticence has me believing the former.

Hint...Snoop is a rap singer/entertainer, Snoopy is an animated character.

Back in the 50's and 60's there were liberals even more radical than the "hippies", and the "hippies" along with the other strands of 60's liberals did nothing more than to be at the forefront of ending the Vietnam war, pushing Women's and minority rights, raising the awareness of environmental issues.

But as far as "gangster rap" being a "liberal" viewpoint, that is a real stretch. Since it contains radial anti-social/anti-feminist views, basically a pimp lifestyle, I would have to disagree that it will lead to a presidential victory.

If somehow the election of a half black president somehow establishes a trend towards a "gangster" president, you need to rethink that a bit. That is borderline racist, which is where I guess meathed was going....and if you want to go that way....beware.

Oh, I know the difference between "Snoop" and "Snoopy". I call him Snoopy because I see him as an animated character (cartoon, in other words), as well.

Of course there were liberals around then, but they had a minor voice until they got the hippies to go along with them. Even then, it took them a decade or so to grow up, get some standing and really start to do their damage.

I never said gansta was liberal, so I would thank you to not put words in my mouth. Plus, the whole gansta thing has been embraced by all races so I don't think you can honestly start playing the race card. You may feel differently, of course...if so, slap that card down on the table, dude.

I'm going to have to call you out on that one. Snoop Dogg's a musician and an entertainer, not a political figure. If a person in a position of political influence or authority(or even someone representative of the general populace) came out and said this, then it'd be an issue. This is not the case.
