Who won the debate? Just ask the undecided voters

biden will destroy ryan because biden has the nasty habit of being honest :)

Why do I feel like that Sesame Street character that can't pronounce the phrase right until he moves the letters around the right way?

Calling on Biden for HELP isn't exactly a great position for Obama...

"biden has the nasty habit of being honest"

Let me straighten that out for you...

"Biden has the nasty trouble with being honest"

ah, that's it...

I have been watching presidential debates since Nixon VS Kennedy and I can tell you that last night was the clearest victory for Romney in all of them. I said in another thread that if this was a prize fight they would have stopped it.

Minorities only represent about 1 in 4 voters. Hispanics represent a little less than 10%, and the same goes for black voters, with all other minorities making up the rest. As for young voters, in 2010 only 12% of voters were under the age of 30.

American Electorate Has New Face for 2012 Race | IIP Digital

24% are non-white. Add young voters and it reaches over 35%.

African-Americans have swung as much as 8%. Hispanics as much as 15%. Same for women.

What percentage spread do you think there will be in this election in the swing states?

It was Carl Rove who understood "micro-campaigning" - rather than going after the masses - with great success is shifting minority and women's votes over to the Republican column. Write off independent / undecided Hispanics and moreso women by offending them, and Romney lost.

I find it strange that nobody who supports Obama has commented on the focus group?

LMMFAO Have you ever noticed that Frank Luntz focus groups are always a slam against Democrats?

That figures. Can you imagine the embarrassment for Hannity if none of them changed their opinion of Obama?

Any comment on what those people said?

Didn't think so... Buh bye Pete.

If you watched the focus groups you would see that it changed the mind of a lot of 2008 Obama voters.

I did. They focused on what was Romney's strongest 'fact.' That with an 87% Democratic legislature, he got legislation passed. Added to that, Romney did successfully draw a distinction between RomneyCare and ObamaCare.

Independents/undecides are sick, sick, sick of the partisan crap and want a president that actually DOES SOMETHING!

but again reality struck and and liberal fantasy ended...

can you imagine if Obama wasnt a loser moron marxist...can you imagain what rachael Maddow would have said..? oh wait Obama is all those things...oh snap

I have not seen that at all....The focus group last night prior to the debate was split fifty fifty and after the debate there was only one voter for Obama.

There are few politicians I more despise than Biden - and not for any partisan reasons. For way back years and years ago for his comments on the Waco Branch Dravidian comments.

Don't count your chickens on Ryan wiping the floor with Biden too quickly. Biden is skilled at talking in almost childish simplistic terms that the least knowledgeable salt-of-the-earth types can understand and be persuaded by. It may be that Ryan talks way over Biden's head, but Biden talks way under Ryan's head. When it comes to blue collar worker-types and very, very old folks, Biden talks a good populist game.

This makes me want to ask if you have EVER heard Ryan speak?....LOL

Yeah, but not as much as Biden obviously.

Once again, I'm for Romney. And, once again, this giddy escalating victory lap as though this election is won by Republicans is a real big mistake.

Biden's been around a long time and those old dogs can make asses of themselves but they also can bite. I despise Biden. But I'd never discount him as an adversary.

VP debates aren't really about the VP candidates. They are about planting subliminals and impressions about their presidential candidates and the opposing presidential candidate. Biden can be mean and nasty as hell. VP candidates often can get away with that. Ryan better get ready to also get down and dirty.

The non-Limbaugh universe (i. e. reality), where the only way for any GOP pol to win on economic issues is to lie.

So, without question, ryan will be forced to lie during the debates. Lying worked for romney, but it won't work against tell-the-truth-even-if-it-kills-you Biden.

 is what will happen when biden calls ryan a "kid" when it comes to Medicare.

Why, because Biden is so much closer to Medicare? heh

To be fair, I think there was 2.

It's not JUST the independents/undecideds.

Believe me when I say I know what you are saying as far as Biden goes, however, although that has served him well in the rural areas of backwater Deleware in getting elected term after term, this is a new era we are in now. Technology has made even the most remote farmer educated, and up to the minute...I don't think his fake ass 'Let me tell ya man' crap is going to fly.

I have GREAT faith in Paul Ryan. :)

Like Chris Matthews stated on MSDNC last night.....he cannot see how any can still be undecided voters at this point of the Election with 5 weeks out. Especially knowing that Romney will be getting a bump all the way until the next debate with Obama. So like 10 days to 2 weeks for Obama to eat it with the Press.

Same thing happened in the 2004 Kerry/Bush debate.

What I remember in advance was that so much was being made of what a brilliant orator Kerry was (college debate team?), and public speaking wasn't Dubya's strength. Kerry came out on stage and began striking these silly "debate" poses that still make me smile remembering them. Really, I LMAO. Apparently, a lot of other viewers did too.

The numbers said otherwise. Kerry handily beat down Bush in the first debate....and it didn't really make much difference in the end.

Bush had a far better first four years-even with 9-11 than Obama has had and Kerry was a moron compared to Romney
