The first debate is this week, and Romney needs to, and should, do well. This is Romney's chance to speak his message directly to national audiences without the spin of the mainstream media.

With the exception of Telemundo, Obama hasn't been asked a single tough question from the media. The New York Times are silent about the Libya and Egypt stories. The Washington Post is also silent.

The debates give Romney the chance to confront Obama's shady handling of both instances in the middle east. Here's a few questions, that if I were Mitt Romney, I would make sure I got asked in the first debate:

How did President Morsi know about the Egypt embassy attacks two days prior, and you didn't, and more importantly, when are you going to tell the American people that you have been negotiating the release of the Blind Sheikh back over to the Muslim Brotherhood?

Why can't your administration seem to get their story straight on Libya? Ambassador Rice said it was over this YouTube Video, your own personal press secretary echoed the same story for almost 10 days. But State is saying it's a terrorist attack, which forced your administration to change its' own story, and now, there are members of your administration claiming you called it a terrorist attack just 2 days after it happened?

You promised to cut the deficit in half in your first term, why haven't you been able to not only do that, but why haven't you even been able to pass a single budget in your entire first term as President?

Over the weekend, 20 US embassies were being attacked or vandalized around the world. How was your trip to Vegas?

You told America, that by electing you, a new relationship would emerge in the Middle East. A relationship of respect. Why hasn't that happened?


These are a few questions that SHOULD be asked by the moderators of these debates, but I will bet none of them will be. This is Romney's opportunity to do the job the media has failed to do over the past 4 years. I thought the bias was bad in 2008, but it's become dangerous how biased the media is for this guy. They wont even ask him questions on things like Libya and Egypt, where American citizens were brutally killed.

There isn't any defense left liberals. You should all be ashamed over the "water carrying" being done by the mainstream media. The left is ok with being lied to when it's a liberal president I suppose. He's lied over and over again in the last few months, especially on these attacks on our embassies and consulate. The American people deserve to know that Obama and his administration have been working with President Morsi, of the Muslim Brotherhood, on a possible release of the Blind Sheikh, the man responsible for the first world trade center bombings. Morsi knew the protests in Egypt were coming. They were supposed to happen a few days earlier, but Morsi called them off. Why isn't the media telling you this? And why aren't they telling you about the Blind Sheikh negotiations?

Also, the FBI, who was supposed to be investigating these attacks, have yet to make it to either Libya or Egypt. Why? And where is the media asking this incompetant administration why they haven't arrived there to investigate yet????

Where is the media? Where are all the journalists with the hard questions??? Where is the media asking why Valerie Jarrett has a full blown security detail and our ambassadors in the middle east dont???

I believe it's the right that called Obama "big mouth" and now they think Romney will out debat him?

Cite your sources, sounds like a conspiracy theory with no proof. I blame the bigotory video for giving the terrorist the cover of the protesters more than Obama. You do bring up a good point which was if Obama's on the campain traiil who's in the white house?

It's funny we actually pay less in interest today than 4 years ago because of improved foriegn relations.

Let me get a little more personal....

Why aren't YOU asking yourself the questions I just raised? Are you not concerned that the media has so grossly failed to do their job, that it's dangerous? How more obvious can it get?

That's the point, is that Romney better be asking these questions of Obama, because the "water carriers" in the liberal mainstream media aren't going to, and that's just an outright disgrace.
 
Romney kind of needs Obama to mess up or commit a gaffe this debate. I don't think he can do all that much himself to change the momentum. If he goes too hard on the attack, he risks being seen as unlikeable and unpresidential. If he doesn't, the debate will be called a wash because at this point he has the burden to prove he is the better candidate.

If I were Romney, I would heavily prep issues that have not been in heavy public discourse lately. Obama has no doubt been heavily prepping the major issues, and will be able to twist his way free of most criticism in those areas. I think Romney would do better to corner him on something he hasn't spent much time thinking about. Even if it is not an issue the public cares deeply about, they will take note of any discomfort or lack of fluidity in Obama's responses. If Romney, by contrast, appears informed and secure, he will come off well.

The answer is he didn't know. When you said American Citizens are brutally killed you made it sound like there's dozens or hundreds it's 4. The Bigotory video of Muhamed obiously played a huge role and your side chose to defend it rather than crticize it, think that'll make the Muslium community hate you more or less?

Sure the debt went up but so did our GDP, our Employment, our stocks, and our medical coverage. While his predecesor, who Romney differs little from in rhetoric, ran up the debt at almost the same % rate inheriting a great economy and crashing it twice. First the high tech bubble, which I don't blame Bush entirely for, but I do blame him for not acting swifty and strongly clinging to his la-ze-fair phylosophy. The 2nd obiously the 2008 "great recession" wich WAS the worst since the great depression. A year after Obama's took office (which is about when his policies should start taking effect) the change in the economic trend was obious. Now we'r hitting what looks like another, hopefully small, recession. Guess what happened a year to two before today?

The Media haven't chewed on Obama because there's nothing to chew on. Unlike Romney who in effect stole all the money he's made. He dosen't buy failing companies and fix them. He buys good companies and crashes them. Here's how it works. He cuts workers ships the jobs over seas, he cuts cost such as with Domino's Pizza and made it taste like crap. Since the cost is going down and the revenue isn't changing in the short run the stocks go up and he cashes in before all the bad things he did catches up to him. Go look up Bain capital, think about what happened to those companies in those years. He completely dismises 47% of Americans and while at it doing it in a disdainful tone. He and his partner constantly calls Russia and China enemies, while showing signs of wanting to attack Iran. The list goes on and on.

The proof is in the pudding my friend. YOUR approach to foreign policy has yielded a worse environment than 4 years ago. Iraqi and Afghan soldiers are beginning to turn on OUR troops and kill them.

It's not just "4" deaths. It's upwards of 2000 this year. Iraq is worse now than it was before we left. Afghanistan is no different. The Arab Spring has brought Islamic Fundamentalism into legitimacy in Egypt and Libya. 20 US embassies were attacked over the weekend Mr. President, while you were fund raising in Las Vegas!

As for the video, no one from the right has defended the content of the video, but we will defend a person's right to make such a video. We are a nation that honors and respects the freedom of speech Mr. President. Now, if you wan't this nation to be a nation that censors speech, then you should come out and say so. Otherwise, why don't you try standing UP for America once in a while, and stop apologizing to our enemies over the values OUR ancestors fought and died over?
 
An ambassador to Libya thought that it might be a dangerous assignment. Yes, the MSM should be covering that breaking news 24/7.Well, at least we haven't attacked Kuwait over something that happened in Libya. That's a big improvement over the last administration. Maybe Obama can ask Mitt exactly what threat Iran constitutes to the U.S. that has him so eager to start another war with them.

Here's my answer my friend, I DON'T CARE WHAT MAKES THEM HATE ME MORE OR LESS. If American principles of freedom "make them hate us", what are we to do? Burn our own Constitution and start over as an Islamic nation???

No, if a person's freedom of speech causes them to hate us.....SO WHAT????? What is more important to you my friend, getting the Muslim community to "not hate us"? OR the Constitutional right to freedom of speech in America???

Maybe you should ask Obama why HE says that a nuclear Iran is "unacceptable"......Difference is, he doesn't have the stomach to enforce anything....he's an empty suit that is pretty good at reading a prepared statement off a teleprompter.

Obama has deployed the State Department, the Intelligence Agencies, even NASA for reaching out to the Muslim world.

We have condemned videos, we've condemned Enhanced Interrogations, we've condemned Gitmo, we've condemned cartoons in newspapers, we've sent our President to Egypt in some "feel good" mission of outreach, we've encouraged the Arab Spring, we've condemned the burning of Korans, we've given detainees in Gitmo the freedom to worship twice a day, we gave Osama Bin Laden a proper burial (according to the State Dept), and our government has made COUNTLESS statements about how we "respect Islam".

No, don't tell me we haven't tried that approach. And look, the ME still burns. They still hate us. They still burn our flag. They still kill us, still attack our embassies, still threaten us. Iran still works on nuclear capability.

Obama's foreign policy approach of appeasement hasn't slowed them down at all, and if anything, it's encouraged them to move faster!!!

What he said has to do with the way Israel is acting. If we severed our aliance with them and were neutral, but still interested. There wouldn't be this hatred comming from the Muslium community. Romney talks about Wars, no taxes and balancing the budget. ...you do the math.

As long as they are killing in response to offense, I DONT CARE A SINGLE BIT WHAT THEY WANT. They do not negotiate, they do not reason like Westerners. One trip to the Middle East would prove that to you. They do not reason like a Westerner.

Have you been to the middle east? If so describe in detail your visit. I have friends that are Muslium I assure you they're very inteligent and civilized.

The simple fact is that Iran does not possess a delivery system capable of reaching U.S. territory even if they develop nuclear weapons. Of course the world community in general is not in favor of increased nuclear proliferation. If only they had taken a firmer stance when Israel was developing it's nuclear arsenal, Iran would have no justification for wanting one. The basis of almost all Islamic hostility towards America in the Middle East is the long history of the United States acting as Israel's arms supplier and heavy muscle in situation after situation. Continuing that tradition, as Romney would, isn't going to decrease our chances of being a terrorist target.

Kick rocks man, I've been to the largest Muslim country in the ME. You're still the one who would trade freedom of speech for a simple try at getting muslims "not to hate us".

Why don't you explain in detail how much you dislike America, then maybe I'll talk about my trip to the ME.

Oh so the countries without nuclear weapons is going to attack the country with nuclear weapon? Israel has been our worst ally, they're the only one's that tell us to attack their neighbors on their behalf. The demand more of our military technowledgy than any other country. I wouldn't be suprized if they're the one's that gave the idiot Bush inteligence on "Weapons of Mass Destruction" in Iraq.

Iran is now refusing inspections because they believe we're there to gather inteligence for a military strike.

Obama has also made it VERY clear that we do not tolerate extremists who commit violent acts upon anyone, especially US citizens. The stuff you watch and read probably convieniently left that part out.
 
Masada is quite correct in affirming that indeed, Obama hasn't been asked the hard questions by anyone in the media yet. I mean... he was on one of those casual shows where he was asked what superpower he would like to have... to which he replied, to be able to fly... oh come on. That's not where a president should be doing his interviews.

Obama has his foreign policy in the sh*tter so that is a good enough angle of attack along with the debt problem. So if Romney focuses on this, he can bring down some of Obama's support. Also... Obamacare as being a tax can be an angle of attack, though not a good one.

However... Obama has so many more effective and easier to do angles of attack on Romney.
Flip flopping. Obama can make a show about his flip flopping and make Romney look like a clown.
Populist "You're rich" messages.
Immigration policy. Social security. Etc.
He can run corners around Romney just so easily... even though, when you draw the line, they are both almost the same thing because they are working for the same big banks and wall street guys.


I am more interested however in the VP presidential debate that will be 2 weeks from now. I predict that Ryan will put that clown Biden into the doghouse. Biden better step out of the debate lest he risks making himself, his party, and his president look like a complete fool.

Israel isn't the nation out there promising to "whipe Muslims from the face of the Earth". You liberals with your messed up sense of rationale.

The two civilizations are NOTHING alike. Israel is not threatening ANYONE with nuclear holacaust. Iran certainly has the delivery system to reach Israel though!

Liberals simply don't understand the East. They think ALL PEOPLE negotiate and reason like Westerners, and they don't. These civilizations have been ruled by kings, by monarchs, by dictators, by tyrants, by armies. They are a civilization that only knows FORCE. They have NEVER known freedom, and democracy. You don't understand what the Islamic goal is. Not just radical Islam, but Islam in general. Their goal is total control of Jerusalem, a global caliphate, and conversion of the entire world to Islam. That's not just the fundamentalists, that's the teachings of Islam.

Our chances of being targeted by terrorists aren't going to change. We are targeted because we are known as the "Christian nation" of "infidels". They are waging a holy war. We are not. They hate us because we are the center of Christian influence in the world today. They hate us because as Christians, we honor God's covenant with the Jews.

This has more to do with history than politics. They are deeply religious, and they hate us because by and large, not every single person in America, but as a nation, we are the biggest beacon for Christianity in the world. They hate Jews and Christians. Not because we have freedom of speech, but because by and large we worship a man named Jesus Christ. If you reject this fact, then you don't have an answer. You are fighting a myth, because THIS is why they hate us.

Obama has his foreign policy in the sh*tter so that is a good enough angle of attack along with the debt problem. So if Romney focuses on this, he can bring down some of Obama's support. Also... Obamacare as being a tax can be an angle of attack, though not a good one.

However... Obama has so many more effective and easier to do angles of attack on Romney.
Flip flopping. Obama can make a show about his flip flopping and make Romney look like a clown.
Populist "You're rich" messages.
Immigration policy. Social security. Etc.
He can run corners around Romney just so easily... even though, when you draw the line, they are both almost the same thing because they are working for the same big banks and wall street guys.


I am more interested however in the VP presidential debate that will be 2 weeks from now. I predict that Ryan will put that clown Biden into the doghouse. Biden better step out of the debate lest he risks making himself, his party, and his president look like a complete fool.

Well this debate is going to be foriegn policy. Which Romney has zero experiance. I'm not sure who remembers 4 years ago, which candidate said in the foriegn policy debate repeatedly that OBL is in Pakistan.

It's not just "4" deaths. It's upwards of 2000 this year. Iraq is worse now than it was before we left. Afghanistan is no different. The Arab Spring has brought Islamic Fundamentalism into legitimacy in Egypt and Libya. 20 US embassies were attacked over the weekend Mr. President, while you were fund raising in Las Vegas!

As for the video, no one from the right has defended the content of the video, but we will defend a person's right to make such a video. We are a nation that honors and respects the freedom of speech Mr. President. Now, if you wan't this nation to be a nation that censors speech, then you should come out and say so. Otherwise, why don't you try standing UP for America once in a while, and stop apologizing to our enemies over the values OUR ancestors fought and died over?

Iraq is worse because we never should have invaded them. Killing 100,000 of their citizens is not the way to make friends. The Afghans are fed up with us also. We are only there for Alqeada and the drones are taking good care of them. It's time to leave and Obama is doing it,
