The Ill-Informed Might Tend to Vote for Obama [W:118]

Actually, Obama said he would work hard to get those things done. He never promised to be a miracel worker. He also said it would be hard work and we must be in it for the long haul. He spoke about how it would take all of us working together to bring this bad economic situation around. He doesn't speak like the typical politicians that vowes they WILL get these things done. That's one of the reasons I like him.

That is a matter of opinion. I personally found most of his campaign speeches to be as politically charged and par for the course as anybody else's. And I never said he promised to be a miracle worker. You quoted what I said, so you would know those words weren't typed out.

Just click on the link in my signature where it says the world according to republivision and you will find how dumb/racist some republican truly are (I know they are just a majority, but still, they are out there).

I have to apologize, I made a writing error, it says
I know they are just a majority
but that should of course be "I know they are just a minority".

Once again, sorry to all republicans out there, it was an error which is proven by me writing "I know it is just ....." which normally is followed by minority and that is what I intended to type but stupidly didn't.

To be fair, a lot of people did vote for Obama because he said he would improve lives, the government, bipartisanship, stability, etc., etc., etc. They believed he was going to fundamentally change the country (that was his campaign buzzword, even).

And he has. Like any President, he could have done a better job. He may have gotten priorities mixed, maybe not. Depends on your pov.
But lets name a few things that have made peoples lives better.

DADT - Homosexuals in the military can now do things that most people take for granted, without fear of being dishonorably discharged.
Lily Ledbetter - woman have a stronger voice on pay inequality
Affordable Heathcare Act - Something politicians have been trying to get passed for a very long time.

The list goes on:
The Washington Monthly - The Magazine - Obama’s Top 50 Accomplishments
A LONG List of President Obama’s Accomplishments – With Citations | Addicting Info

There are some I don't fully agree with, but for the most part he's earned my vote this Novemeber (I didn't vote for him last time)

Hmmm....Hitler Youth on bicycles. And hey, Bicycleman likes bicycles!

Coincidence?

Wait just a minute, I have to protest the innocence of bikes. Coming from a country that is bike country number one in the world as we have the most bicycles per capita in the world (about 1 bike for every person in the country), bikes do not make a person like nazi's. We dutch hate the nazi's and are in our politics very much the opposite of the nazi's.

How do you switch gears while heiling?

worst POS to ever be President.. let us pray Obama is a skidmark in history soon...

How can he be, George W. Bush has that honor to be the worst president in modern history. Anyway, I am sure he will the POTUS for 4 more years.

We don't, we do not only HATE sieg heiling, you can get prosecuted for doing it.

I know what you mean. In California they made driving while talking on the cell phone without a hands-free set illegal. As a result not only is talking on a cell phone while driving sort of dangerous anyway, now you have to watch out for the police too.

I am sorry, but do you think the average republican voter is much smarter? They are equally ill-informed and some are even more uninformed because they believe every little thing that Foxnews airs on TV.

I don't know about smarter, but Republicans are certainly better informed. Demographically speaking, they're older and have a higher level of education on average.

incorrect.. why do you hate data and fact? Then again to be honest, I dont care what you think unless you are voting..

here driving and being non-hand held on the phone is illegal too, but the hitler sign is illegal if it is made with the intention of being racist. Like adding Sieg Heil or Heil Hitler to it or derogatory comments about jews. If you combine the hand raising like the nazi's with those things you can be prosecuted in a court of law.

Making derogatory comments about Jews while riding a bike seems much safer than trying to seig heil too. But yeah, obviously it's still illegal.

I am not sure about that one, the number of HS or less is higher with Obama than Romney but in the some college or college graduates Obama also scores higher than Romney.

With age it is also a bit of a mixed bag, Romney according to a pew research poll only had a 1% lead on Obama in the over 65 group. I still am not convinced that republicans are smarter than democrats. I think they are equally smart/equally dumb (you can pick which one you like best ;))

Ummm...

You are going to have to explain how you got the highlighted statement out of the OP's remarks.

And please...try to keep the spinning rationalizations to a minimum, eh?

Then how else do you make the jump from "Hey, I saw these people on Howard Stern who support Obama" to " Now I know how Hitler came to power"? Are you claiming the two statements are completely unrelated observations? Obviously if these same people would support Hitler then(in the OP's opinion) Obama is at least as bad as Hitler and possibly worse. Please quit trying to make excuses for those of your political orientation who are prone to such hyperbole.

I have made a mistake, I should have said that George W. Bush is the second worst president in modern history because Nixon is worse than him because of Watergate etc. but beyond that, I am of the opinion (and I am not alone in that opinion) that George W. Bush is one of the worst presidents of modern time and one of the most divisive for his actions.

8 Worst Presidents Ever - The 8 Worst Presidents in U.S. History on Civil Liberties Issues

President George W. Bush is near the bottom of the heap in the latest survey of historians on presidential leadership.

Bush received an overall ranking of 36 out of 42 former presidents—in the bottom 10.

Ronald Reagan was rated 10th best, up from 11th in a similar survey taken in 2000; Bill Clinton was rated 15, up from 21 in 2000. George H.W. Bush went to 18 from 20.

A 2010 survey ranks Barack Obama as the 15th best president and George W. Bush among the worst.

The 10 Worst Presidents - US News and World Report | US News & World Report

"Looking at the list of presidents since World War II, which one do you think is the worst president?"

George W. Bush (27%)
Barack Obama (22%)
Richard Nixon (12%)
Bill Clinton (5%)
Jimmy Carter (5%)
Ronald Reagan (4%)
George H.W. Bush (4%)
Lyndon Johnson (2%)
John F. Kennedy (2%)
Harry Truman (2%)
Franklin Roosevelt (1%)
Gerald Ford (1%)
Dwight Eisenhower (1%)
Not Sure (12%)

Vision Critical/Angus Reid poll

A Vision Critical/Angus Reid poll, taken on February 18–19, 2011, asked respondents about 12 former and current presidents and whether they were a good or bad president.[32]

John F. Kennedy (80% approval/6% disapproval)
Ronald Reagan (72% approval/16% disapproval)
Bill Clinton (65% approval/24% disapproval)
Dwight D. Eisenhower (61% approval/6% disapproval)
Harry S. Truman (57% approval/7% disapproval)
Jimmy Carter (47% approval/28% disapproval)
George H.W. Bush (44% approval/38% disapproval)
Barack Obama (41% approval/33% disapproval)
Gerald Ford (37% approval/25% disapproval)
Lyndon B. Johnson (33% approval/27% disapproval)
George W. Bush (30% approval/55% disapproval)
Richard Nixon (24% approval/54% disapproval)

In 2012, a Gallup poll found:

10% said Obama was outstanding, G.W. Bush 7%
28% said Obama was above average, G.W. Bush 18%
26% said Obama was average, 28% said Bush
17% said Obama was below average, 22% said Bush
18% said Obama was poor, 25% said Bush.

Now I know this is a highly partisan issue but from above examples it can be found that many consider G.W. Bush a worse president than Obama and some have even named Bush as the 2nd worst in modern history.

Oh man, looks like the liberals and fence sitters are all upset about this little recording. I'm not surprised.

We'll see what happens if Obama gets re-elected. Remember what he told Medvedev at one of the few times he has agreed to meet with a world leader (seems his campaigning, fund raising, photo ops, glad handing, golf and basketball games got in the way of meeting with Netanyahu.)? "If I get re elected, I'll have more wiggle room to sell out my country, get rid of nukes and sell out the sovereignty of my country to the United Nations, because my real reason for being President is to apologize for America and destroy its economy, which I have managed to do quite well on my first term. Just wait for my second term."

You better hurry and leave the country before it's too late!!!!!!

I am not sure about that one, the number of HS or less is higher with Obama than Romney but in the some college or college graduates Obama also scores higher than Romney.
In 2008, it was actually quite close. 75.2% of people voting for Obama were college graduates or has some college, compared to 76.4% for McCain. But that reflects only people who actually voted, not people who identify as Democrats or Republicans. People with lower levels of education tend to vote in much fewer numbers. Obama had 2/3 of the less than HS crowd, but that only represented 4% of actual voters.

With age it is also a bit of a mixed bag, Romney according to a pew research poll only had a 1% lead on Obama in the over 65 group.
That doesn't tell us about relative age of Democrats vs. Republicans, though.

I still am not convinced that republicans are smarter than democrats. I think they are equally smart/equally dumb (you can pick which one you like best ;))
Again, I'll stay away from "smarter" - but as far as being better informed about politics, it's just a fact that Republicans typically outperform Democrats. Pew looks at this periodically:
Republicans fare substantially better than Democrats on several questions in the survey, as is typically the case in surveys about political knowledge.

What right does a foreign national have to insult an American President? You don't hear me insulting your leader. Come on, don't tell me that you are an admirer of Hitler, and you are offended because I placed Obama on the same tier with Hitler?

I guess I have to repeat myself:

"He was comparing the people interviewed with the people who elected Hitler."

No comparison made between Obama and Hitler...and he did not say that the people who would vote for Obama would vote for Hitler.

Come on, dude...dismiss the dog whistle.
