Before this election season, I was a fan of Mitt Romney.

A lot of it might have been a holdover from my (continuing) admiration for his dad, George, who I've encountered in political history books before and who I thought was a fine man with a vision of competency which events conspired to rob him of the possibility of implementing. That carried over for me into 2008, when I thought Mitt was the only chance that the Republicans had of moving forward with a reasonable set of ideas for the nation. I could've voted for Romney in 2008.

Now its like, oh he's another unbelievable dip**** from the GOP. What else is new?

American politics is depressing sometimes.

I'm voting for Governor Johnson. I don't think Obama's a worse choice. Little to nothing of importance would change under either.

so you are going to cast a protest vote for a guy who has zero chance of winning? Hope that makes you feel good. But I must admit, I voted for Perot and helped elect Clinton.

I'm voting for the man more qualified than your candidate for the job, and who, if the Republican Party were intelligent, would have been your nominee.

That said, I could conceivably get behind this version of Mitt:

But he doesn't seem to exist anymore.
