The Gallup polls are on the money...whateva! :rofl

The Obama Administration’s Justice Department announced, on August 22nd, that it was joining a lawsuit by a former Gallup employee and whistleblower against the Gallup Corporation for allegedly overcharging the government on polling work.

The announcement comes on the heels of a confrontation between Gallup staffers and Obama strategist David Axelrod in which he accused the company of using out of date sampling methods which, he said, generated polling data negative to the president.

And the Justice Department intervention in the whistleblower suit came three months later. The whistleblower, Michael Lindley, claims that Gallup violated the False Claims Act by overcharging the federal government for its services to the U.S. Mint, the State Department and other federal agencies. The Justice Department plans to add Gallup’s work with FEMA to the list of alleged overcharges covered in the lawsuit.

...which could have criminal implications. I bet Gallup will make a poll say damn near anything that Axlerod wants it to.

Things just aren't looking good for The Messiah.

I'm sorry but how does Dickie connect the dots on this one??

Where are the thugs?

Maybe Gallup really over charged for its services and the government is just seeking justice, in which case why is that a problem?

Here's the US justice department's stance on the issue. USDOJ: US Government Joins False Claims Act Lawsuit Against the Gallup Organization

So why shouldn't I believe their case, that Gallup inflated the amount of hours required to do work they were contracted for and instead believe some blog peddling a conspiracy theory for people who don't ask intelligent questions like you?

Shortly after Axelrod summoned Gallup executives to the White House in an attempt to intimidate them into changing the methodology of their polling because they were consistently showing Obama behind and they refused, the Justice department signed onto a law suit that was filed 3 years earlier by a former Obama bundler. Gallup also does surveys on unemploymment which differ from the government's estimates consistently showing figures which the adminisration considered harmful. Where there's smoke there's fire.

I'm not convinced, its all circumstantial. Sometimes hooves are just horses, not zebras.

I don't think it occurred to the OP that it was possible Gallup actually did overcharge the government. I guess fiscal responsibility is less important than a chance to assume the president is up to no good.

Go ahead and get that justice. Why hang this over their heads? Leverage, maybe?

Are you really not interested in even entertaining the thought that someone overcharged the government for something? Just going to jump to the most convenient conclusion without taking a look at both sides and confirming one or the other?

I'm not saying the government using this as a way to place pressure on Gallup is impossible, but what you've shown so far is in no way proof that its actually happening.

The whistle blower started tooting in 2009. Why is this issue just coming up after Romney took his first lead in a Gallop poll?

Sure I am. What I'm saying, is that it should be handled and everyone move on. Don't use the possibility of criminal charges to blackmail Gallup.

That's a rhetorical question. Right?

But what if the charges are completely valid, do you still want to ignore them on an unproven claim that its part of a scheme to pressure them?

I'd sure like to know if both the charges and the scheme have a basis in reality.

Actually, I would like to see an insider's response. Of course speaking in front of a camera with a hood over his/her face with a voice over.

Exact justice and stop using the charges to blackmail Gallup. How many times do I have to say that?

Fair enough, but we aren't sure its an attempt to blackmail Gallup, heck we aren't certain its entirely one or the either or some of both.

Looks like it. Why else would Axlerod want a meeting with them? He's not a member of the DOJ. He's just a political yes man.

Isn't Gallup the one that uses landlines?

America would do itself a favor if we stopped responding to polls completely.

They are the feedback loop for the PR industry.

The measure of how well their messaging is being absorbed.

Who knows, according to this he wanted to talk about methodology of the poll
PICKET: Internal e-mails: Axelrod intimidated Gallup before DOJ lawsuit surfaced against polling company - Washington Times

The timing is of course suspicious, and an unnamed Gallup employee said the tone of the meeting was "Godfather esque" like Axelrod was thinly veiling threats. Its suspicious but not conclusive

Oh awesome. Citing Dick Morris the prostitute toe sucker.

Taking a guys word for it whose word just a few days ago was that Bill Clinton would vote for Romney, guaranteed and that he only backs Obama publicly becuase "they" are holding Hillary hostage and will kill her if Bill doesn't do what Obama says.

Morris: I guarantee is, that Bill Clinton wants Obama defeated. Because after 8 years after Obama no democrat will get elected in 100 years..... She's a hostage (Hillary Clinton), they'll kill her if he loses.

Keep marrying yourself to Dick Morris:
