In case you don't understand the difference, one dismisses the possibility of things ever getting better, the other suggests that perhaps the appropriate focus is the problem rather than on who you can point the finger at.
- Everybody does it, so don't pretend your side has the moral high ground any more than the other side.

I didn't see anything to imply that in Prof's post or in the article he cited.
In this case, it's definitely the Democrats who are doing the dirty deed, so why not focus on them in this thread? If you want to address anyone else doing similar things...perhaps you should start a thread about them, eh?
Anyway, the common tactic used by those who don't want to address an issue is to deflect to "everyone does it", not because they don't give a **** or are combating some "moral high ground". It's because they want to avoid talking about the issue in the context given. You know...trying to avoid getting their noses rubbed in the stuff.
