Would Obama do this? The story of Bain Capital's search for a missing child

You don't even have legitimate proof it's the Presidents brother!

Well, the fact that they have the same father would seem pretty definitive on my end. Hacving said that, I am not a doctor and don't do DNA sampling. I guess if you need that level of denial to feel free to ignore how Obama treats his family, then I'm not going to rain on your parade.

But seriously, I'm not even that right wing (being Canadian and all). Your politics is just something I find very, very interesting. But I don't see how the left demonizes Romney's character in good faith and then buries it's head in the sand about its dear leader, the choom gang loner who used his family to gain fame and fortune and as a talking point in selling himself to the public but yet appears so un-altruistic when something involves his own time and money rather than government money.

There are some good arguments for the democrats (not sure how many in light of how dumb their policy perscriptions are on the economy). Social issues like gay rights. Health care (though your democratic law on health care is ridiculous in so many ways and should actually be replaced with something functional). But the economic arguments are terrible. The class warfare is dumb. Obama's management of the economy and the govenrment has been terrible. So all in all, sure, if I was an American, I would probably go republican this go around. But that doesn't mean that anyone who has drunk from the spring of the everlasting hope and change should ignore reality because I happen to be the one pointing it out.

This may be a zero sum game for the actual politicans, but here in irrelevant political discussion board land, people on various sides should be able to look at and discuss things honestly.

Oh, and as all this is going on, I am watching the endless line of no-names at the democratic convention peddle crap on class warfare, on Romney's tax returns, and on how Romney will kill children (and one in particular) if he becomes president.

I know they think it's the only way they can win, but even his supporters should feel a bit uncomfortable with this sort of nonsense. Doesn't look like that's how most react, though, at least based on this forum, where the class warfare tax return 1% protect the rich nonsense seems to be taken for gospel. The republicans, as much as you may not like their approach, are talking about exactly the right issues. The democrats are diverting to talk about anything else. And it shows.

And sorry, but seriously, I am a big believer in public health care (again, Canadian, though it kind of pisses me off that it is illegal for me to pay for services if the government will give them to me if I wait in a line long enough). But why is it an assault on women to allow third parties who pay for your insurance the ability not to include birth control, which is pretty damned cheap. It's not cancer medication that costs thousands of dollars a month (which even here may not be covered). It's pills costing a few bucks a month and some condoms you can pick up by the boatload at any college student health office.
