The election is over. [W:593]

Re: The election is over.

They have had enought of the Kenyan.

Exactly, Americans are ready to send the Kenyan socialist packing.

Arizona had it right when they were going to keep him off the ballot.

Re: The election is over.

I see you're one of those libs who enjoyed it when the liberal media attacked Sarah Palin. Bush was a great president who was elected twice and defended us from the Afghan and Iraqi Muslims who attacked us on 9/11.

Actually, I just really dislike Bush and Palin. I supported Bush his first term, but not his second. If you think being opposed to Palin and Bush is all about hackery and partisanship, and far left liberals, then the GOP's voting base is as much as a problem as their worst candidates.

Re: The election is over.

Please be so kind as to tell me what it is about Sarah that you don't like.

OMG. People like you give conservatives a bad name. The whole world is tired of the Bush era, and Palin's voice gets on most people's nerves. Everyone who does not bow to the feet of Bush and Palin are not libs. However, I don't see that being called a liberal is a bad thing. It's just anoying to have people like you calling everyone to the left of far right a lib.

Re: The election is over.

Possibly true overall ... but definately true for the Dims. The Kenyan made their HOPES change. Even Clint said so last night. There will always be die-hard Dims, my father was one, and the majority of the Dim turnout will be those diehards.

On the other hand, I expect the Republican turnout to be rather large. They have had enought of the Kenyan.

What Kenyan are you taling about? Honestly? What hole do you people come out of, and is it filled with toxic waste?

One can always hope there is. And from the looks of it, you agree with her. I invite you to share (just a few so as not to use up too much bandwidth) your feelings as well.

What's not to like?

Especially her account of "Paul Revere riding through those streets warning, uh, the ... the British that they weren't going to be taking away our arms, uh, by ringing those bells."

I think someone has been ringing her bell.

Toxic waste is no longer allowed in America, that's why so many American jobs are going to China.

You tree huggers are why the unemployment rate is so high.

The perfect ticket might have been Palin & Bush or Ding & Dong.

Re: The election is over.

Unless something wild happens before Nov. the game is over. The GOP failed to convince enough people their platform is better.

Hope you guys fix your platform and come up with something reasonable in 2016. I'm really tired of the Democrats being the only game in town.

Lol. You don't know the same people I know. Republicans I know honestly think its a guarantee for Romney after the convention.

Re: The election is over.

@HoongLoong

That was one of the most ridiculous tirades I've read on here. Your reality is based on junk propaganda, I guess it really does work on some people, lol.

Re: The election is over.

A few months ago I might have agreed the writing was on the wall. Now I'm far less sure.

I think there is a good chance that Obama wins the national election, but the electoral college is very much in play. Just look at Florida, where democratic voter registration is 1/25th of what it is was last time around by this point. In a lot of swing states laws have been passed which make it considerably harder to vote and to register to vote. Regardless of the reasons the laws were passed, almost everybody is in agreement that the laws will have a greater detrimental effects on democrats than republicans. Part of the reason this could be so devastating to the democrats is that it will combine with the general apathy among Obama supporters. A person who likes Obama more than Romney who might have voted for Obama if it was easy to register and go to the polls might not find it worth it to go out of their way to register or to spend the time and money getting a valid ID if they didn't already have one. The reverse is also true, but Romney voters are more likely to already have those obstacles cleared.

Mitt Romney only needs Florida, Ohio, North Carolina, Wisconsin, and Indiana to flip his way to win. All of those are considered toss ups right now and most of them have been effected by changes in registration and voter ID laws. This means Romney is probably going to do better on election day than he will in the polls. Romney could also get Pennsylvania considering a state House Republican leader over there admitted "Voter ID, which is gonna allow Governor Romney to win the state of Pennsylvania, done."
Mike Turzai: Voter ID helps GOP win state - Mackenzie Weinger - POLITICO.com (a spokesperson tried to say he was referencing voter fraud, but it is concerning that officials are openly trying to change laws for the benefit of one candidate).

I don't think you can say either candidate is focusing on this or that issue and thus they are going to win. The candidates national messages don't matter because the national election doesn't matter. All that matters is the turn out and the integrity of the vote counting process in a select few states. As long as Romney doesn't have some monumental moment of stupidity that the Obama campaign can neatly wrap up into a devastating ad Romney should be able to stay close enough to have a shot.

Romney is a god awful candidate who is terrible at running a presidential campaign but it is nonetheless his election to loose. To many factors are working against the democrats for this thing to be a blowout, or for us to guess definitively what is going to happen at this point.

Re: The election is over.

Well, two inputs from you and not one from SheWolf and justabubba.

A L

I said I didn't like Bush as well... Why focus on Palin? Why doesn't the GOP like Palin anymore? Why didn't she get a speaking spot at the RNC???

You want an essay on such issues, it should be obvious.

Re: The election is over.

It's nice to know that while I was doing some research to get myself up to date on the latest polling and writing out my post another person was writing the right-wing rant to end all right-wing rants.

The latest vote grabbing exploit of Obama by catering to the Muslim vote (USA population ~ 8 million) is most troubling of all. The Obama Agenda is not only supporting the Muslim Terrorist Front Organization of CAIR, by having their representatives in high positions in Homeland Security, and lecturing our various government agencies, and the Military....... but dropping this thinly veiled Muslim Terrorist Front created by TWO of the Hamas leaders: Omar Ahmad, and Nihad Awad (google: acknowledged as such by the FBI) ....have now arrogantly accepted blatant Al Queda and Hamas imams and other flagrantly outspoken anti-American imams as major Dem Party keynote speakers at different rallies with some consternation by the DNC chairman Debbie Wasserman Shultz who is a jew.

This is some amusing logic you have here.

Let me get this straight, Obama is trying to pander to the Muslim vote by associating with terrorists. First off some factual information, not that this really matters but the Muslim population is closer to 3 million (World Muslim Population Report - Pew Research Center). This means the Muslim population is around 1 percent of the population. Now lets pretend there is an unrealistically high percentage of Muslims in the United States who are supportive of the specific terrorist organizations Obama supposedly supports, are of voting age and are registered to vote, and will be swayed by Obama's actions you cited at 10% of the total Muslim population. This leaves .1% of the population and probably not much more of the electorate. So Obama is risking completely alienating well over 99% of the electorate by supporting "arrogantly" supporting terrorist organizations.

Better yet apparently Obama wasn't thinking about this portion of the electorate when he assassinated the American citizen Anwar al-Awlaki. I'm sure a few speaking engagements at the DNC will mend those wounds!

Hell, lets just pretend there are 8 million Muslims in America and everyone one of them is super in love with terrorism. Did Obama think they all weren't going to notice his surge in Afghanistan and his unprecedented drone strikes in Pakistan and Yemen? Have they all forgiven him for killing bin Laden already.

How do you think those Hamas members felt when Obama froze U.S. financial support of UNESCO when that body dared to vote to recognize Palestine? israel today | Israel News | UN recognizes 'Palestine', America strikes back - israel today | Israel News Obama's idea of appeasing the Muslim vote is punishing UNESCO for supporting Palestine.

HoongLoong, you are truly a master of right-wing selective vision. There are a million legitimate criticisms of Obama, you have to ignore a lot to believe one is that he is trying to get the pro-terrorist vote.

Re: The election is over.

michael moore disagrees
he believes the demo turnout will be much weaker than that of the republicans
giving the edge to romney
and based on the sentiment that i am hearing, his prediction does not seem invalid

Agreed. With the voter supression in several states, those that would vote for Obama may not be able to.
Saw something in the news the other day on voter registration in FL being drastically lower for Democrats. Something in the area of only 5% of the number of voters in 2008. But.... Republican voter registration in FL was up from 2008.

Re: The election is over.

I said I didn't like Bush as well... Why focus on Palin?

Because I like Palin.

Why doesn't the GOP like Palin anymore?

I didn't know this was true. Maybe you could educate me (but I won't hold my breath waiting).

Why didn't she get a speaking spot at the RNC???

I have no idea. Perhaps with your insight, you could tell me (something about breath holding comes to mind).

You want an essay on such issues, it should be obvious.

I NEVER asked for an essay. Those are your words. I merely asked you why you didn't like her. Your non-answer makes it readily apparent that you have no good reason or you would have stated it. That leads me to believe that you are also in lockstep with the Dim party line.

Have a wonderful Labor Day Weekend.

Voter supression ... Hmmm ... might this have something to do with being legally qualified to vote?

My favorite is her little tidbit with the bridge to nowhere. She freely perpetuated a project that the nation already agreed was a large waste of federal spending. It was a nice 26 million down the drain with zero results.

But setting this aside, her decision to interact with the public as a celebrity rather than an actual politician is flat out immature. Granted the nation likes to flirt with her stupidity then play pissed in the long run, but there's a reason why she wasn't asked to speak at the RNC. Nobody really takes her seriously. Honestly, sometimes, I don't think she even takes her seriously. I feel like Rush Limbaugh is one drama princess too many, we don't need Sarah trying to color outside the lines too.

Re: The election is over.

Nobody really takes her seriously.

I don't agree. I think a whole bunch of teaparty folks take her seriously. She has gotten some results with her endorsements - not a 100% but enough to scare the opponents of folks she endorses.
