Obama campaign spokeswoman Jennifer Psaki told POLITICO earlier Friday that the president had no plans yet to visit the Gulf state and review damage from Hurricane Isaac, even though Mitt Romney announced plans to visit Friday.

But the White House announced a few hours later that he is now planning to go there.

All week the left was salivating that African Americans would be hurt by the hurricane so they could demagogue it. Looks like they now all have egg on their faces.
 
I still believe Bush's apathy over Katrina is when many people started to truly despise him. It will always be a huge moment of shame for the federal (and state) government.

I am glad they convicted the officers who open fired on the people trying to cross a bridge to get out of there.

No, that was Katrina and George "Good job Brownie" Bush that was too late. A good President does not need to interfere with rescue operations by butting in where he is not needed. No one has any complaints about the Govt. response to Isaac. A refreshing change from the endless bungling and excuses that came before.

Wow, and plans are set in stone and never change of course.

Especially if Jindahl invites Obama to come and see the damage caused by the storm. HOW DARE Obama actually do what he was invited to do.

Jindahl by the way invited both Romney and Obama, so I don't know why the republicans immediately start whining when Obama does something at the invitation of a republican Governor.

Also, a candidate is free to change his schedule on a whim, a president is not so free to change his plans.
