Tell me who you think will win each debate and why:
Bonus question: Which debate do you think will be most important? And why?

DEBATE #1:
October 3, 2012
Topic: Domestic policy
Air Time: 9:00-10:30 p.m. Eastern Time
Location: University of Denver in Denver, Colorado
Moderator: Jim Lehrer (Host of NewsHour on PBS)

The debate will focus on domestic policy and be divided into six time segments of approximately 15 minutes each on topics to be selected by the moderator and announced several weeks before the debate.

The moderator will open each segment with a question, after which each candidate will have two minutes to respond. The moderator will use the balance of the time in the segment for a discussion of the topic.

DEBATE #2
October 11, 2012
Vice Presidential Joe Biden VS Paul Ryan
Topic: Foreign and domestic policy
Air Time: 9:00-10:30 p.m. Eastern Time
Location: Centre College in Danville, Kentucky
Moderator: Martha Raddatz (ABC News Chief Foreign Correspondent)

The debate will cover both foreign and domestic topics and be divided into nine time segments of approximately 10 minutes each. The moderator will ask an opening question, after which each candidate will have two minutes to respond. The moderator will use the balance of the time in the segment for a discussion of the question.

DEBATE #3
October 16, 2012
Topic: Town meeting format including foreign and domestic policy
Air Time: 9:00-10:30 p.m. Eastern Time
Location: Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York
Moderator: Candy Crowley (CNN Chief Political Correspondent)

The second presidential debate will take the form of a town meeting, in which citizens will ask questions of the candidates on foreign and domestic issues. Candidates each will have two minutes to respond, and an additional minute for the moderator to facilitate a discussion. The town meeting participants will be undecided voters selected by the Gallup Organization.

DEBATE #4
October 22, 2012
Topic: Foreign policy
Air Time: 9:00-10:30 p.m. Eastern Time
Location: Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida
Moderator: Bob Schieffer (Host of Face the Nation on CBS)

The format for the debate will be identical to the first presidential debate and will focus on foreign policy.

*Three of the four moderators are obvious Left-leaning btw.
*Three of the four debates are in states that went to Obama in '08.

I predict they will block Gary Johnson from the debates because the Commission on Presidential Debates is owned by the GOP & the Democratic Party ever since the debates were hoisted by the CPD away from the nonpartisan League of Women Voters as retribution for allowing Ross Perot into the debates and to secure their round-robin hegemony.

The CPD will then cite that their standard to get into the debates is registering 15% in five major national polls but then won't have the need to explain away why those polls don't include Gary in their polling because why the **** should they because they don't do the polling.

All wrapped up nice and neatly because the Dems and Repubs run this country and clearly... CLEARLY we are all happy with the way our country is being run. So why rock the boat?

Complains the man who'll vote for Obama.

I didn't in 2008 and I'm not planning on it in 2012. So by all means please stop pretending you know anything about anything because every time you type, you pretty much show that you don't.

Getting a bit into the specifics of the debates, Jim Lehrer is the most credible of the moderators. He's quick on his feet and an expert at getting folks to elaborate beyond sound bites and slogans. Candy Crowley tries to come across as hard-nosed and fair, but I'm not impressed by her. Raddatz, a super nice lady, but a real softballer. Schieffer ofcourse doesnt make too many qualms about leaning left.

WHO WILL WIN?

The Kenyan imposter will win each and every one ... just ask the MSM.

What's not surprising is that the closer we get to the election the larger my ignore list grows due to pointless postings like this.

#1 : Clear Win Romney
#2 : Clear Win Ryan
#3 : Tie, slight advantage to Obama
#4 : Clear win Obama

I'm honestly only really looking forward to the VP debates. I can't wait to watch Biden without a script and on the spot for 90 minutes. The man is a riot.

The last 2 will definitely be Obama. I highly doubt that Mitt will beat Obama in foreign policy discussion. Ryan will beat Biden undoubtedly. The first one I give 50/40/10 50 Mittens, 40 Hussein, and 10 to no clear victor

Hell ya! Yer idea so you start the thread. The rules will be fun to make! Don't put it in the basement until they fix the silly new posts bug, tho.

I hope I'm on that list of yours. Saves me having to read this sort of drivel.

BTW ... I don't use that list. All of this board should be about free speech. You need to be able to take the good with the bad, which apparently you are incapable of. What a pity.

Just read two major pollers that have Gary Johnson with only 21% favorable in one and 18 in another...not like hes going to be winning any awards

:gasp!: WE NEED A DP VP DEBATE DRINKING GAME!!!

Biden will win that hands down...Little Paulie will bring his 400.00 bottle of wine and joe will bring a bud and guess on 98% of america will endear themelves too :pppppppppppp

The debates don't matter. They are a side show. The most either side can get out of them is the chance the other side will say something stupid that can be exploited.

Most people have decided who they are going to vote for...and the one's who haven't will either be swayed by the commercials on TV like my ex-wife will...or they won't even vote.

Every time Ryan says socialism we take a shot of jagger. Every time Buden says something stupid, we drink tequila. I give it 2 questions before half of DP can't post coherent sentences.

Very true in waiting for someone to say something stupid that could be used in a political commercial. There is really nothing either one of them is going to say that would be earthshattering of substance.

Both sides just listen intently hoping the other guy stumbles. Give either one of these guys enough rope out there on that stage and they can hang themselves. Neither one of them look that particularly bright.

If Romney and Ryan allow the liberal moderators to stay away from obama's horrible record of failure, then they will probalby lose. If they can turn the biased media around and force the discussion to address Barry's record then Romney/Ryan will win.

I do not comprehend why the GOP would agree to allowing liberals to moderate every debate. Are they trying to lose? Don't they see that this is a set up?

Apparently not. They NEVER learned the lesson Gwenn Ifill tried to teach them.

Moderator's Warning:
The birther stuff comes up again and people are getting thread banned. Additionally, if you're putting people on ignore there's no need to post about it in thread.

That rowdy liberal media! Fox News is the only safe haven!

You're generous to think we will make it to the second question and be able to find the keyboard.

I think Jeager and Tequila is just a mean mix, though. Especially in those quantities.
