Most marxists that have ever come to power have done so through violent revolution.

Far as I'm aware there have been very few marxist governments elected to power but when they are, they are extremely plain about who they are and what they plan to do.

To go back to the point though from the other post, the idea that Obama is a secret marxist is idiotic beyond belief.

Marxist European socialism can come through the use of immediate force or, as in the US case, more gradually. This time Marxism is coming in using fascistic practices. We have a massive regulatory state that intrudes into every aspect of our lives. Every aspect. The government has its tentacles into every part of every business. Every day the private sector is being both smothered and controlled by ever greater numbers of regulations and regulators. If we do not fight back we will lose the country.

Thirdly a marxist would have no need for an election and as I said earlier no need for a house of representatives or a senate to approve his tax hikes, it would just be done and furthermore as I said earlier there'd be no need for taxes... it's just be confiscated.

He spent his formative years in the presence of a socialists, Marxists, radicals, and Progressives. He spent his formative year in Indonesia steeped in Islam.

This isn't the whole speech but at least gives some context. Given the two paragraphs he's saying if you're rich odd are you've got a bit of luck and a lot of help along the way. The sentence was probably a slip up and came out miss worded. Most likely he meant to say "you didn't build that on your own" instead of "you didn't build that" which is supported by the rest of the two paragraphs.

It's hardly "demonizing" business owners

It is the election season.

The more partisan you are the less critical thinking you do. And if you're a hardcore partisan, that really isn't something that occurs often anyways.

Election season brings out the worst in nonthinking partisans.

Delusions and paranoia are being passed around as normal beliefs.

That said, Misterveritis has always been like that. Everything he dislikes is a massive government wide Marxist conspiracy to take over the world.

A true Marxist would never seek the Presidency. That would be a wholesale abandonment of Marxism. To seek and achieve the Presidency would mean the acceptance and use of the capitalist class structure society. Essentially a Marxist President would be tearing up everything they believed in. If you are a true Marxist, how can you literally abandon your beliefs and still be a Marxist?

Marxism never seeks to change the political structure from within. It always overthrows it. Seeking the Presidency completely perverts what Marxism is.

Misterveritis's problem is that he defines Marxism as anything he dislikes and anything self proclaimed Communists have done. It's an exceedingly stupid definition.

US economy adds 96K jobs, rate falls to 8.1 pct. - Yahoo! News

The government also said Friday that 41,000 fewer jobs were created in July and June than first estimated. The economy has added just 139,000 jobs a month since the start of the year, below 2011's average of 153,000.

Absolutely! Not to mention that the revision for the past two months was -40K jobs each month, so if that happens now to this 96K Jobs report, then that means that the country only created some 56K jobs....

Now earlier, OC wanted to dismiss the 2,000 jobs that liberal anti oil groups say the Keystone pipeline would create, however a micro view of that project alone would be more than double what the Obama administration can claim for the month of August...

true, and if permits were issued for drilling in the gulf, thousands of jobs would be created instantly.

But, I really think obama is getting what he wants. He wants the US to be brought down from its lofty perch, he wants the US to be at the same level as the rest of the world, he resents our success, and thinks the country should be punished for its successes. Oh---and punished for slavery.

Bakken is a case in point....Housing is at a premium, and they can't get enough people to get out there to work....I believe that Unemployment is non existent in that region....Meanwhile, it costs my family $100 per week to keep the cars fueled up to get to work....Think of what I could do with that money if I didn't have to burn it up in my tank....
