Ran across an old article by Juan Williams today, which discusses n "October Surpise that Obama Surely Sees Coming"...
This is one October Surprise Obama surely sees coming | Fox News
In it, it turns out Obama is frantically making donation pitches from the White House pleading that he could be the first sitting president to be outspent during his re-election bid...
What happened to the "President raised $1B, more than anyone in history"? The president was loaded, and prepared to outspend whatever Republican foe stepped up against him in the general election, wasn't he?
It turns out, the President has been spending far more than he has been taking in (odd isn't it... where have we seen that before), and can't sustain this rate of spending, or he will be out of money in October...
Conversely, Mitt Romney is out earning Obama in campaign donations at the moment. He also isn't spending as much as Obama, so he has enough in the tank to make the final push of the campaign in October...
Now, both sides PACs are loaded, and each spending a boatload (or a whole armada's worth) on attack ads, and those will definitely be going all election long, and I'm sure Obama will get enough donations to keep going, and this I'm sure is a little bit of dramatics.
However, what does this really reflect from both candidates spending/financing habits?
This clearly drives home the point, that Mitt Romney is far more adept at managing spending of a large budget, and responsibly planning what to spend on and when...
How could you consider voting for a guy who has run up $5.4T in debt in 3.75 years, as the result of spending 66.66% over budget, with a persistent $1.2T deficit... that also just happens to be spending more than he is taking in of his campaign contributions?
Obama referred to "that crazy uncle" when trying to distance himself from Jeremiah Wright, but right now, Obama sounds like that crazy uncle that can't handle money and always comes back asking for more, and you're done giving it to him, because you know he's only going to waste it...
